I think I failed, and I'm panicking...

Hi everyone. I just had my NCLEX yesterday, and I don't think I passed. I'm overwhelmed. I did everything...KAPLAN, Sanders, Pearson, you name it...I'm so sad that I can barely move today. I just can't wait to do what I want to do...to take care of patients at a Cancer Center-(my mom being a patient a while ago), and I can't bare the possibility that I failed...I'm so depressed and sad...

Thank you for this site, guys...

how many questions did you take?

Take a deep breathe and relax for a moment. If you're this passionate about what you want to do and you studied hard, you'll probably pass. Don't overwhelm yourself. I'm sure you did fine. Let us know when you get your results and pass! :)

That's very sweet...thanks a lot. Will try to keep sane today.

Congratulatin, Christiann, were there a lot of questions with the key word highlighted in your exam? Besides, where is your cancer center you are working for now? I'm interested in oncology and i want to find a cancer center too. do you know if there are any post for RN-BSN in your center? thanks for your sharing.

Cristiann,

As someone who has just recently taken and passed the NCLEX (Aug 14th), I can tell you that feeling that you failed is a normal part of the waiting process in getting your results. From the looks of it, it seems that you have done a lot in preperation for this test. My advise to you is to keep busy for the next few days (if you were able to get the quick results from pearson).

Do whatever it is you like to and have been neglecting since studying for this test: Go to the movies, gym, take trips to visit friends, cook, read, work..., you name it. You won't know your test results for sure until you get them.

So take a deep breath and try to relax.

Even if in the unlikely event (15%) that you need to take the test again, you will know what to expect for the second time. You will get a packet of your strenghts and weaknesses which will help guide the studying process and make the next time a success (if a second time is necessary at all)

Good Luck and tell us how it goes.

I think alot of us once we complete the test think the worst. I know I did. 85 is not a bad score, you either did super bad(you would really know you failed) or passed. I got my fingers crossed for you that it's good news. I passed with 88 questions. Relax, go to a movie, get a massage or whatever you want. If you did fail you can take the test again and will know where your knowledge needs studying.

I can only pray and wish that you've passed, after all the hard work you put in it.

I was one of the lucky ones who felt after my exam 100% that I passed, and ended I found out a two days later that I did. I did get 75 questions.

I cried for two solid days after my NCLEX. I didn't sleep. I even tried getting online to schedule another exam (it wouldn't let me). I did pass though, and I've been an RN for almost 2 years now. Try to stay positive, I know that is easier said than done because I've been there!

Honey, I don't know of one single person who honestly believed that they passed after taking the NCLEX, no matter how many questions they got. calm down and wait for your results. You might be surprised! Good luck!
