In December I got my letter to start nursing classes in August 2007:wink2: This though isn't what is the best news. Let me tell you.
Our classes started Tuesday and I was enrolled in some classes to fill up the semester since I had A&P, Nutrition, and Micro last semester and everything else is also already done till nursing. I was very depressed that all my friends were starting this spring. So anyhow I went to school Tuesday and Wednesday. Well while I was sitting in my last class on Wednesday my cell vibrated but I let it go to voice mail since it is rude to answer in class. After class I checked my messages and it was the head of the Nursing Dept. wanting me to call her asap. I called her and she told me that someone hadn't shown up for classes and hadn't registered and she was wondering if I would be interested in starting this spring. :rotfl: Well let me tell you that my heart was racing. Heck yeah I want to start this spring. Well since then it has been crazy. I had register for nursing, drop my other classes, take books back and bought new nursing books. Then I had to get a TB test, a criminal background check and a drug test. I am not CPR certified currently so I have to do that Tuesday before my clinicals start in February. On top of all that I missed the first two days of nursing classes. So I had to get notes from my friends on my first day which was Thursday. Did I mention they called at 3:00 Wednesday afternoon and I started classe at 8:00 Thursday morning? Anyway I am so excited that I want to tell everyone that will listen. I told my family but they don't understand what it is like trying to get in and the wait list. I know all of you understand. Now that it is the weekend I am trying to get caught up and all of it is hitting me and now I am scared to death. :chair: Everyone told me that it must be ment to be so I will be okay. Thanks for listening to me ramble but I get so excited that I want to shout from the roof tops!!!!!!! Now that I am an official nursing student let the studying begin.:wink2:

Congrats! I know exactly how you feel. I too am so happy I want to shout! In August I graduated with a BA in Sociology from a school in central Florida. Previous to that, I had applied to my schools' Accelerated BSN program, and I was denied admission. So, I decided I would move back home and give up my dream of getting into nursing school (I'm from Atlanta), and I did just that. Two weeks after I moved 460 miles away, I received a call from my school's Nursing program telling me that they had received a grant and they were accepting more students for the class that starts in 2 weeks, and would I be interested in accepting a seat. I was like hell yeah! :yelclap:I was completely convinced that I'd NEVER get into nursing school, I moved to another state for God's sake, and outta nowhere I got in! I couldn't freaking believe it! So anyways, I moved back to Florida, and I am now in my second semester and I'm graduating in December! Miracles really do happen!

Congrats :balloons:
:redlight: Please stay off the roofs though, they are very slippery this time of year, and if you fall and break something you can forget about starting nursing school. :redlight:
