I know I don't post on here often, but I have to share with everyone. I just found out I PASSED my RN NCLEX. YES!!!

I was and still an LPN. Have been since Jan. 2003. I graduated with my ADN in May 10, 2006. I tested May 22nd and found out today I am an RN (May 24th). I had 75 questions. The only advice I can give to anyone is to know how to triage and priority. I know you can't tell questions, but that is a good thing because I can't remember a single one.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting on results or waiting to test. You will do fine.

Congratulations REGISTERED NURSE! Oh I get goose bumps whenever I hear someone passed...I just remember when I got mine and was on top of the world! Happy feeling to remember!

I agree with you...triage well, and I found it was quite a common sence test! I was overthinking most of my nursing school and thankfully by the NCLEX I had calmed that down a tad so I thought of things logically and by priority. I too only had 75 questions or so...so I knew...I either failed miserably, or passed big time (and I was quite sure I didn't miss too many questions...).

Like I always said..the NCLEX is a test to have nurses start work that are at the proper level of safety to do their jobs...not a weed out the non-A students! It is made to ensure that testers have a basic knowledge to start the journey safely :). BUT yeah..even I didn't believe my own words come test day...LOL!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS!!!!!! :) :) :) Welcome to the real world of Nursing! (get an aroma therapy kit! LOL!).

U took your test so quickly and I am very happy that u were sucessful! U graduated on may 10th? I graduated on May 13th and we were told to come back 2 weeks pc grad to pick the registration form to apply! how did u prepare in such a little time?

Hey that's awesome and congratulations to you!!!! Wow, it must feel great. I'm jsut starting my prereq's so I know you know what a long haul I've got in front of me. But can you tell me, did you study from a guide for the NCLEX or did you just know it from your LPN experience?

CONGRATS AGAIN !!!

CONGRATS!!! I am interested to know how much of your LPN experience helped you in the RN program and for the NCLEX-RN? Congrats to you again-how exciting for you!

Maybe it is different per state, but well where told in March to apply to the North Carolina Board of Nursing and to Pearson-Vue. My ATT came on the 20th, I tested on the 22nd, and got my results today.

Well where required to do Kaplan through the school. that is all I done, I did even look at any questions afterwards. Like a previous poster said, it is basic entry nursing.

I have 3 1/2 years LPN experience in an ER. I am a jack of all trades, master of none. I think it helped me to no end working as an LPN. The hardest part was remembering my BON allows things that aren't allowed on NCLEX for LPN's.

I know back when I took it (almost 7 years ago) my college had a practice on line NCLEX we could do...so I did it a few times but felt it was too simplistic...I doubted myself and the test! So I just reminded myself....'you know this stuff...it is in that brain..now, lets focus on how to get it OUT!" LOL!

So the night before the test I did NO studying! I rested, took a nice long soak in my tub, just relaxed as much as possible! Then I ate a good breakfast (not large...I was so tense I knew I would throw up...LOL), watched my coffee because I didn't want to stop to go to the bathroom, and just focused on "get the info out of the brain!"....

It worked big time! You just do your best, answer a question at a time reading it IN FULL, then don't second guess or dwell..move on to the next (my probelm was I would second guess myself and 4 questions later I would realize I did those four thinking of the one I may have missed...don't do that!). Answer and move on!

NOW..best advice I have is actually post NCLEX LOL! You are not going to be yourself. You will basically be like a powder keg with the shortest fuse known to mankind! Realize this, warn your family of this....it is because so much is riding on this test! I think it is best to either go on a personal retreat, lock yourself in a room (padding optional), drink till you can't remember your name (LOL, just kidding), or hope your friends and family are there when you get your results...LOL! No seriously...most folks are very stressed and it really shows after the NCLEX! You would think it was a piano off your shoulders...nope, not till the results come in!

Good luck to all ya, and CONGRATULATIONS to those that got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
