Since u are going to upmc shadyside, why not just work at shadyside hospital.There are a lot of nursing assistant that are nursing students just like you who work there. It would be a great experience for u. I believe must of the people who go to upmc shady son, have their clinical there as well! Infact one girl from upmc shadyside son just started several days ago. In anycase if interested u can go to www.upmc.edu and apply on line. Apply to any of the local campuses. U can apply at presby,magee, childrens or montefiore, southside etc. Shadyside could be closer depending on where u live. where do u reside? While cna is a good foundation, do u think u would have time for their trainning since its held daylight hours and usually run for three weeks?

I think it was very kind of you do that! However I bELIEVE u should have given the acess to kaplan after u have known for certain that u pass nclex and don't need to use it anymore. Many atimes u hear people say "I let my friend use my my account after I passed and did not need it anymore". What u did was gracious and in my opinion u can't blame this person. u gave them th e codes and u expect them to use it as they are preparing to take nclex as well. Meanwhile I reccomend u change your password and usename. Good luck with everything...

I found out my results by calling the next after I took the test. I called and spoke to a lady, and I asked if a liscense has been issued and she said yes. she also mentioned that my name will appear on state boards website the following day and it did.

how about ccac? they have four campuses around the pittsburgh area north south boyce and of course the main campus

I know that after a semester of clinicals in rn or lpn u qualify to sit for the cna test

I too agree. Pick up the saunders q and a and the saunders comprehensive by silvestri and u will make it! I used sauders and I was sucessful the first time.. Practice practice practice and practice nclex style question is the key to success. Good luck

katykaye pls be careful when u post and use GOD. Someone was apparently angry that I thanked the Good lord almighty for my sucess on the nclex exam.

ca is so behind in most things, considering its such a big state! too many folks... . did u know u can find out in other states under 10hours??

Kayla, Take the nclex only when YOU are ready!!! Aug 31st is a good date.. Thats roughly 6weeks away!!! know your content and then critically think and u will do well!! saunders q and a is an awesome book! The Kaplan strategy book is a good book with practice questions, it is only 35bucks, u can probably get it cheaper used for 10.00! on line. utilize all your resources, print that infection control tips that was posted several weeks ago and practice, practice practice and go for it! we all will be celebrating come sept 2nd when u find out u passed!!
