There are very few nurses in my facility with BSN's. Two, to be precise. One is wonderful and supportive, the other doesn't like distance learning and used to give ma a hard time about Excelsior. A little older than me, ADN grad, got her BSN years ago, brick and mortar.
I tell her I've enrolled in the RN-MSN and she says, "Yeah." Eyeroll. When I got offended, it isn't me, I just shouldn't be allowed to do this. Where's the standard entry? SHE had to yada yada yada. I said, "Fine. I won't talk about it." "No, talk about it. It isn't personal, it's the whole process." "Well, it is personal. It affects me."

I'm sorry to hear your co-worker is so unsupportive. Go to the NLN website and type Center of Excellence in the SEARCH box and then print it out. Fold it up nicely and stick it up her nose.....oh....I mean ...hand it to her and let her read it.
