  3. good advice. [color=sandybrown] nice job! the key is the process of elimination. there are always (2) answers that are the same or (3) and one that doesn't make any sense. i am gonna keep practicing how to eliminate the answers...... angela - candidate for nclex-pn
  4. leelife, what nursing school are you going to right now........? angela - philly
  5. i use to work for corporate america and for some reason the politics are the same but played differently. in corporate america its about position and in the healthcare field its all about who you know. if you're looking elsewhere ask at the interview "how t h e y (the mgr) would handle a situation that you just explained on their floor?" angela
  6. I graduated PN school in March '08 and i am 39 yo now. My buddy in class was 26 yo and i felt so young the entire year. Live like your 18 yo again. Have fun.
  7. Excelsior College (distance learning), Harcum College, Roxbourgh School of Nursing, Frankford School of Nursing, Gwyneed Mercy Collge, Abington Memorial Dixon School of Nursing - just to name a few....
  8. Really! Great! I appreciate it! Now, do the instructors come to your job?:dancgrp:
  9. OK! Good! I am looking into Excelsior! Yeah I thought that was wiser! Thanks a million! :flowersfo
  10. Yeah, I am trying for the NCLEX-PN after trying Suzanne's plan. This will be my 3rd attempt. I didn't know to try a review course or Suzanne' plan but I don't feel like staying in NYC for a week straight in Jan. 2009. My problem was that I had a major headache throughout the entire exam. Relax the next time. I also am learning how to answer the questions with more strategy like eliminating the same answers first. Or looking for certain words like AVOID and NEVER. And reading the question more than once. Saunders has a strategy book as well. YOU CAN DO THIS THE NEXT TIME - read all strategies to eliminate those answers is the key and using nursing knowledge!
  11. CCP has a long waiting list and it takes now 3 years to finish. Angela - Philly
  12. Why are nurses jealous these days? Everyone has a chance these days to get the education online or in school full-time - your pick. If its online then you have the opportunity for on the job training towards your degree. Waiting for my ATT (NCLEX-PN)! Which is better to go after? An online education with like Excelsior or a big college for the BSN? Angela-Philly
  13. good luck to everyone. it is very encouraging to hear these stories. i myself will be attempting the nclex-pn again. waiting for att form. am going to go with suzanne's plan. i don't think i want to spend $500.00 for the network review course in nyc. is it worth it? could i just study the saunders pn book and be very confident that i have enough tools to pass this test? angela -philadelphia
  14. Yeah, I am waiting for my ATT for the NCLEX-PN and was wondering which route to go. Exclesior or go to Drexel for 3 yrs. It's my choice though. And you have on the job training. So there you go.
  15. Don't be sad. Think positively every single moment. Read "The Secret"! And live your life for every moment and please don't waste it on what if or can I or are things possible. Ask for CHARITIES from the hospitals if your insurance don't cover some meds. My husband had Thyroid Cancer 5 years ago and pulled through it like a champ. I was so scared of the unknown and He continued to just smile and he still don't know anything about thryoid cancer. But ATTITUDE does matter. He stayed on top of everything like exercise except for sleeping. You can do all sorts of things with your license: research, health care admin or informatics. You'll be fine. We all need to take care of ourselves. Exercise, eat unprocessed or organic foods and place our spirits on a higher level. This is only a challenge to test how strong you are.
