  1. Thanks for your suggestions, bbhalle. I'm going to keep going, I'm trying to get into the Associate Degree program which is harder to get into than it was to get into the bachelors program..?? oh well... as for plann b..... not there yet, just going to have hope that this time around I'm going to make it... .... *smiles*
  2. Anatomy and Physiology... now that I look back was a great starting point to nurses. Just because it starts off with just a hint of bad smells. hahahaha... I remember the cat that we had in our class.... ohhh goodness the smell of that stuff they put on their to keep it from decomposing was horrid!!!!!!!!! Its a good starting point though.... its good preparation for nursing school though. Best of luck to you...
  3. So, I just start feeling a little better after all this drama. I signed up for anatomy and physiology 1 just to score a better grade for the ADN program since they go by the point system. Had to pay out of pocket for classes and books. Then tonight I a former nursing classmate of mine calls me and informs me that she just got called back to nursing school cause a spot opened. I was happy for her but in my own mind I was wondering why and what was wrong with me that they didnt call me back. There I was again in tears. I just need to get over it but it's just sooo hard. I'm taking this way harder then I intended. I should have never put myself in this situation. I'm just feeling down. Thank you guys for all your help with my situation. Helps motivate me to keep going.
  4. Thank you for the information I'll look into that.
  5. Yes, I did go there. Thats the thing... I would be willing to sit back a semester but I dont think they would even allow that. I'm thinking of calling them and doing the whole program again that the same school if they would allow that. Spartanburg Community College goes by a point system and only allows 30 students a semester. It seems its harder to get into the ADN program then the Bachelors program. By the way.. I love that quote!
  6. thanks so much shellsnyrn!!! the encouragement is just what i needed.
  7. I dont really have a specific reason for wanting a BSN. In general I just want to finish nursing school. I dont mind an associate degree and wonder myself why I didnt just stick to that in the first place. I just feel bad because I put so much time and money into it. Yes, I will take your suggestion and use it as a learning experience. I'm located in spartanburg, sc. thanks you so much for helping me. i guess i better get moving since school starts monday. I probably wont be getting in as quickly but maybe i can go and talk to the advisors to take something to help boost my gpa up and try getting in by fall. once again ... THANKS!
  8. Hi everyone, I'm new here so excuse me if i'm posting this tread in the wrong area. I need help! I was in my second semester of nursing school with only a year left before graduating with my BSN. I just recently failed my second course (OB/BYN) with puts me out of the program. I'm am sooo confused and mad at myself for not giving it my most. I feel like I let everyone in my family down including myself the most. I put in an appeal and just received the answer today that it was not approved. Now I dont know what my next move should be. Should I find a school that will allow me to transfer my credits that I have finished at my most recent school. Or should I just go and apply at a tech or community school and do the associate degree. I'm willing to move if i find a school that will allow me to transfer my finished credits. I'm on here looking for help to see if anyone knows any schools if there are any at all that will allow transfering of already passed nursing classes. I'm just wanting suggestions of what to do. desperate to finish nursing school. help!!!!!!!!!!
