I just took the nln exam and i feel i got such a horrible score. Together 111. 50 english, 47 math and 97 science.
I have an ok gpa.. 3.66 ... i applied to kbcc, city tech and touro nursing program. I don't know if i'll get in i'm sooo disappointed in myself =[
I'm really crossing my fingers here, i want to get into any of them so bad!
sadly during the english part of the exam a fire alarm rang for 25 minutes! everyone was getting very angry because they could not focus on the material and i found myself reading the same sentence over and over. Everyone scored lower because of it, i know i could have done better.

Twenty-five minutes of fire drill ringing! Horrors! Did you request to retake the portion of the test during which the bells where ringing? That seems only fair. There must be some kind of appeal process; I hope you find out about that and use it. I'm so sorry this happened to you. The stress of taking an entrance exam is bad enough without fire bells ringing. Of course it would affect anyone's ability to concentrate!

After 10 minutes there should have been a PA announcement of an air raid, tornado, active shooter, or a real fire. Sounds like the only one who knew how to turn the alarm off was unavailable, or they forgot to inform the FD of the drill.
Unless other applicants had to endure the same, the test appears to be non-standardized.

Katerinsols,
I'm not sure if I missed anything in your post, but city tech requires the teas, not the nln. Also, I don't think it is possible to apply to city tech and kingsborough at the same time because I believe you are required to attend the school if you want to apply.
The lady in charge of the test said we apologize, just do the best you can... Yea that's not going to help our results, it's ridiculous I don't know who to talk to about this.
Close the books, really? Dam, o well the selection was free anyway.

Fire alarm for 25 minutes?
100% unacceptable. It would not only affect a test-taker during the exam, but would affect them long after the alarm ceased. "Just do the best you can" is not an answer.
Petition to retake, and if denied, raise holy hell.
