The stress and workload is not worth $4 dollars more than my old job. I saw students back to back from 830-330. Some are for ridiculous reasons-like an old dry scab that I saw almost dismissal time. I was unhappy and stressed out so I quit. Will I get paid for the 3 days that I worked for?

Sorry you had such a bad experience. It can be totally crazy some days, but I am sure the students were testing you as a new nurse to them. You need to establish rules and reign them in. No one can say if you will be paid, that is up to your district and your contract, and state laws. Good luck!

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy school nursing. As I've said before, it's not for everyone.
The great thing about nursing is there is always another specialty to go to. Find your nursing passion and you'll be great!
Best of luck!
They didn't have a school nurse since Spring so now Everything was my problem even a cough that had been lingering since the beginning of school - I'm like why didnt you tell the sub nurse last week?

Yea, you'll get paid...good luck to you. Stop in every once in a while and let us know how it's going for ya.
Are you being sarcastic?
Not at all. Just reassuring you that you will be compensated for the time you worked and wishing you good luck.

OD is right! It would be illegal for them not to pay you for the time you worked!
Good luck!

They (all of them...kids & teachers) were testing you. And still after you pass, some days are just like that. I'm sorry you felt you couldn't give it more time because it really is the best job. Good luck to you.

I'm so sorry you had that experience. Were they without a nurse for awhile? As a sub nurse, I've walked into situations where the position had been vacated for awhile, and they were making do with subs and agency, no consistent person, and the inmates do wind up running the asylum.
One place was so bad, (twice as many walk-ins as *any* place I had ever been in in several years experience subbing) that I took it on myself to talk to the principal and explain normal visit volume and the difference between cough drops and real medicine. The principal was young, new at her job and well-meaning, but hadn't learned to ride herd on the teachers.
I was assigned there the following week, and boy what a difference a week made. There was a normal volume of students, and they *mostly* came down for legit needs.
A cough that has been lingering since the beginning of the school year became my problem.. what did the sub nurse do?
