Hello everyone!!
I'm new to this site and have been following a lot of you regarding Everest College in Ontario. I was looking to go to West Coast university in Ontario, I had the interview, pass the HESI test and did my financial packet and the FASA and federal loans and I still would of had to pay 83k and need a co-signer which I could get one. So I saw all these post about Everest and I'm thinking this is my best route to go. My question is.....If I already took the HESI test would I have to take it again with Everest College or can I just show them my print-out? Also I put in a call the Everest last week and gave the lady all my info AND I even went on-line and filled out all the info. They have yet to call me back. How long did it take you guys to get in touch with someone over there to get things rolling? From what I have read it looks like in February is when they will start having people take the test and start the process to try and get into the July 2012 RN program. Is that correct?? Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thank you and I look forward in getting to know everyone

Im pretty sure you will have to retest with Everest, but if you passed the first time Im sure it should not be a problem for you the second time around. Also yes, the only way to really get information about the program is to attend an information workshop. Attend the first one if you can, than sign up for testing in the first available week if possible. That will start the process and than you should be good to go.....
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Is Everest cheaper? I have looked into them too but I forget the tuition fees. I get so worried that these private schools won't be looked at equally by empoyers...
I go to Everest next Wednesday to do financial aid so I will let you know how it goes, but I also already have a bachelors degree so I am transfering alot of clases.

Hmm I think the original poster meant Ontario California not Ontario Canada since this is in the Canadian section.
But to answer your question 83k is entirely WAY too much money to spend on tuition for nursing school. I would run if I were you.

I also think the OP is talking about Ontario, California because there are no RN programs offered by Everest College or any private colleges in Canada. Sorry I cannot help if that is the case.

Yeah, definitely the wrong place to post this, Everest is in California. The $83,000 tuition she is referring to is what she would pay for West Coast University, and that is AFTER financial aid! A bachelors degree from that university runs $120,000+ and NO it is NOT worth it!
I think Everest is in the $40K range, and there are informational sessions that you have to attend to figure out how to apply because TRUST ME, the people that talk to you on the phone are just paid to talk to you on the phone and get you enrolled, they have no idea what is going on in the nursing program. I think your best bet is getting in to a community college, where you will save $30K-100K depending on the program. There are tons of nursing programs out there that don't extort nursing students, I would look into that first.

i agree with lrobinson about going to a cc for nursing unless you are like me. I am not very lucky, it has been 3 1/2 years since i finished my pre-reqs and after spending close to 500 dollars every semester just appling to all of the schools in a 250 mile radius, for the past 3 years, it is just easier for me to go to everest. I have been in the program for 6 months now and like it. not only are there r.n. instructors, they also have doctors teaching some of the classes.
I'm glad that you got in! I just hate to see people paying so much for their education. I know it is tough to get in to nursing school right now, I was just suggesting to the OP to look in to a CC program first, and then look at other options
Yes I dont know why this is in the Canadian section. This is for Everest College in Ontario, California.
