I was picked in the lottery!!!

O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

i was supposed to start Spring 14' but was called in for fall 13' and I took it. I am going to the orientation on may 16th. looks like there are spots for people on the waiting list. hope you guys get in

Gratz maggie! Have fun at orientation. Let us know how it goes. And if they mention any news regarding the accreditation issue.

I can't wait to hear something soon. I'm going out of the country in June.

I haven't heard back either. But I checked in with them at the nursing department office today to make sure I'm not missing anything. They are also sending us another letter with more info. I am also getting the feeling I won't be getting a Fall spot. But they told me anything can happen between now and the start of the Fall program.

No I didn't get a call. Last communication I got was the second week of April when they let me know I was number 132 and invited me to take the teas test! Nothing yet... But last day to submit teas test results was only friday the 10th, so they are probably still weeding out all those who didn't pass the teas! Exciting!! ;)

yeah i can't really call because I am in India volunteering right now. but I have been emailing and asking them to email me if anything changes so I don't miss out! :/

I can assure you, Amnesty, just because someone is academically strong, does not mean they would make a good nurse. I would rather have someone take care of me that was going to give me 110% because he/she had passion in being there. Just my 2 cents.
