O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

did you take the TEAS at CCSF? if so they send it automatically. If not you go to ATI website and choose to send you transcript electronically to CCSF they get it within the hour.

Congrats!!! I hope I'm as lucky as you....I'm waiting to hear back from 2 NorCal JC's I've applied to. I would definitely be celebrating if I were you :D

When I get a confirmed seat I will def celebrate !!!

Good luck to those taking TEAS soon! I hope us on the waitlist hear by the end of the month!

Thanks! I can't wait to get this TEAS V over with next week. I'm studying and so far so good. I'm optimistic I will do fine, but I'm sort of worried that I will become nervous and do bad, and worrying just makes me more nervous, it's like a viscous cycle! Aaaah!!

congrats lady!

volleygirl, i took it directly at ATI April 6th 2013 i got an email that they sent it to CCSF, when i called them to make sure they got it they wouldnt give me a straight yes or no. i am going to stop by at their office Friday.

congratulation to you all who got pick for fall 2013/spring 2014 semester...If you haven't taking the Teas V yet and score over the cut off 62% in your first attempt!! i will strongly recommend you to study the ati Teas V manual until you grasp every concept in there, No Joke!! common sense would not do it for you on this test! and also to buy both Practice test online A and B from attesting.com it is worth every penny!! speaking from experience, if you don't pass the Teas with 62% you will have to go through remediation for a year before you get another chance to take the Teas V for the final time and if you don't complete the remediation and pass the Teas V after a year, say bye bye to your winning number!! I went through it the hard way, but i'm happy now that i have completed the remediation and passed the teas v, and will be starting this fall. good luck to you all, i feel as it is my obligation to advise you guys first before your teas v date, so you wouldn't be disappointed like i was last year. Remember, failure to prepare, is preparing to fail!!

do you guys know what story is about CCSF not being able to get their accreditation? kinda worried about it.

Teas scores are only sent electronically, you pay ATI to do it through their website.

I am worried too. But I haven't had the chance to look into the issue. All I know is the school needs to come up with a plan by June and if its not sufficient they could lose their accreditation. And from what I hear this means they will lose their funding. I have also heard that if CCSF closes down then the students will not lose their transferable credits. But this is all hearsay. If anyone has a better understanding, please feel free to share!

As I am preparing for the TEAS V I am just wondering...

Is it a paper test? Or computerized? Or both? (I'm taking it at CCSF)

Will they provide scratch paper?

Do we really need to memorize all the conversions for English units of measurement and metric system?

Do they have any break(s) in between sections?

Did any of you have trouble finishing the sections in terms of time? (Ie. You ran out of time?)

Any other tips?

Thanks!

Hi, if you take the Teas at ccsf, it will be computerized! They will provide scratch papers. Knowing the conversions units will benefit you when you have to convert to other units. Know how to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa, and kelvin as well. The wouldn't be any break in between; however you can use the restroom if you really have to, but remember, the test is timed, as you step away the time keeps running. Every section is timed, after the time runs out. You cannot return back to that section. Study hard, and relax the day before the exam. Good luck!!
