O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

I thought people who fail the TEAS V will get a chance to do it within a year of doing remediation class or thats what my letter said. I went to drop off my acceptance letter and asked her what are my chances of getting in the fall of 2013, she just told me to wait to see if people drop out of the class.

That's true but they can't enroll until next year I believe. so those on the waiting list are next in line I would think. jeeze so we have to wait all the way till fall and spring to find out? oy vey I wish I could hear from someone that went through this waiting list process

If you fail the TEAS V the first time you take it, you can stay in the program if you follow a "remediation plan" which includes taking the TEAS V again within 1 year. So I'm thinking some people may fail this remediation plan, or try the test again and fail again. This was my understanding of it. At any rate, looks like we could be waiting anywhere from a few weeks from now to months and months from now. Ugh.

i wish the best for you guys.. Hope you find out soon

Thank you soo much I hope so too!! hopefully we will be classmates :) congrats again!

I am wondering if we should start brushing up on any information or readings just in case we start in the fall. does anybody have any recomendations? any good nursing books ?

thank you volleygrl89 i hope so too..

my coworkers gave me some books that they used last year but i havent looked at it yet... not sure if they changed books, i am going to wait to get my orientation date to find out about books. we still have a few more months, depending when we start to go through stuff.

Yeah understandable, it's just a little more difficult being on the waitlist because things can be last minute. I'm just thinking any nursing reference books or such would be good

Also I saw that the nursing handbook was put on the website in June 2012, so that's probably when we will know by (those waiting)

Good luck to those taking TEAS soon! I hope us on the waitlist hear by the end of the month!

Do you guys know how to post TEAS V transcript to CCSF. ATI said they will send CCSF a copy but when i called CCSF today they said that they only accept electronic copy of the TEAS score.
