Hey everyone, Just writing to encourage others out there that have taken the NCLEX and failed. I took mine on July 1st for the first time and failed with 265 questions. I had a lot going on at that time, getting married, just graduated, grandma was in the hospital, getting our house together, getting things ready to travel out of the country for our honeymoon, etc. I was pretty down, I studied and took the Kaplan course at my school. Sure I didnt do all the Q Bank questions that were avaliable, but I did study a LOT. After a week in Mexico and a week at back at home I decided it was time to start studying again. I was up late every night studying and up for work the next morning to come home and do it all over again. I took it for the second time on Oct. 13th and found out I passed on Oct 14th. I also had 265 questions. I know some say the number of questions mean you pass or fail, I dont believe that at all, so dont drive yourself crazy for the 48 hours it takes for you to find out if you failed or not, its not going to help, it will just make you miserable. The only advice is to study hard, take notes while studying and review them over and over again and take your time on the test! The first time it took me 4 hours to take it, the second time I took 5 hours. Just read every question very carefully and read it again, eliminate the answers you know are not right first. Good luck everyone! Dont get discouraged!
