Nursing Students NCLEX

I'm so happy!:balloons: I just found out this morning that I passed the test. These were the worst two days of my entire life. I'm glad that's over, but now I'm nervous about working. I can't possibly handle 8 patients, I could barely handle the 3 pts. I had during clinicals!

Anyone have any tips on how to handle this, I'm now freaking out just thinking about it.:uhoh3: I'll be working 7p-7a on a surgical floor (inpatient pre and post-op).

Thanks, and good luck to all taking the test in the days to come!:balloons:

Congrats!!

As for the patient load, I've only heard of hospitals having preceptor programs and orientation times, during which you build up to a reasonable load (where is 8 patients reasonable for that kind of unit??). And if that's what the nurses do handle, you'll get eased into it, I'm sure.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! i just started orientation this week and will be precepting for the next 6-8 weeks on med surg telemetry floor. Also very nervous about starting but anxious at the same time. Just remember everything you learned will start to come back to you. If not ask alot of questions like me.
