I'm so happy!:balloons: I just found out this morning that I passed the test. These were the worst two days of my entire life. I'm glad that's over, but now I'm nervous about working. I can't possibly handle 8 patients, I could barely handle the 3 pts. I had during clinicals!
Anyone have any tips on how to handle this, I'm now freaking out just thinking about it. I'll be working 7p-7a on a surgical floor (inpatient pre and post-op).
Thanks, and good luck to all taking the test in the days to come!:balloons:

Congrats!!
As for the patient load, I've only heard of hospitals having preceptor programs and orientation times, during which you build up to a reasonable load (where is 8 patients reasonable for that kind of unit??). And if that's what the nurses do handle, you'll get eased into it, I'm sure.
