I Passed Nclex 2nd time as time expired at 200!!

"I passed"!!!!!!!! :yeah::yeah:Is what I shouted out as my husband and son looked on the computer with me this morning at 8:00 sharp. My story- I graduated 12/08 and was to start my dream job in the OR 1/20/09. Thinking that I could have the Nclex exam passed and behind me, I decided to schedule my Nclex exam on 1/15/09 before my 1st day was to begin. Long story short I FAILED at 162 question 3 hrs. I was hurt. I had to call my nurse recruiter with the bad news. I was told that I could start after I passed the exam :cry:. I received a call from the recruiter a few days later stating that I could start immediately as an orderly in the OR which was a job I did as the summer intern position I held 6/08. I was told that I had to have the Nclex passed in 90 days. I scanned this website and found out about Suzannes plan. I was able to complete her 1st step and received the 2nd step. OK now to fast forward.. I took the Nclex exam Friday April 24. I went into the restroom, looked in the mirror, prayed and told myself that with the help of God I am an RN. I've studied, I've prayed, and now all I have to do is believe. Time expired on me at 200 questions:banghead: All day yesterday, I scanned this website to see how many others have passed the Nclex when the time had expired. I found only a few. For those of you who need encouragement just keep doing about 100 questions a day, understanding the rationale, and after you have done all you can pray and God will help by bring things back to your rememberance. I believe that God called me to be a nurse. If He can do it for me, He will do it for you to. It's like He just whispered some answers right into my ear.

Congrats! I imagine time expiring would be pretty frightening and more discouraging than just seeing the computer shut down like you (eventually) expect.

Congratulations! :)

Congratulations and good luck.

Congrats!!!! :yeah:I know you've got to be sooo excited!!!!

I realized after I took my exam for the 2nd time that people were actually passing even though they ran out of time! My first time I took the test I was not prepared at all, I just wanted to hurry up and get it done before I started my new job (much like you did) and at 115 questions...I failed! So I did Kaplan, scored really high on the practice questions and I just knew I was going to pass my 2nd time, got to question 220 with only alittle over 20 minutes left and I knew I was going to run out of time so I panicked and just started guessing. Had I known that people passed I probably would have on my 2nd try but I let my anxiety get the best of me (and lack of knowing I couldn've passed). I've been praying, I prayed for test 1 and test 2 but I guess it just wasn't my time to pass this exam?!?! I hope my 3rd attempt is my last attempt!!!! Well congrats again and good luck with your new career!!!
