Dear Ones:

I don't think I've ever worked so hard in my entire life, and I've never been under more pressure (that I can recall). I am presently very fried, brain is mush, can't focus, just glad to be home with my dogs, cats, oh yeah the DH (ha!) and my allnurses buds.

I failed my 2nd PCS, but I passed the one they gave me as a make up (officially known as PCS#4). I started writing up my narrative and when I finish it, probably around Friday, I'll start a thread here and offer it to anybody whose interested....

I did have some comical experiences (much funnier now!), met some very wonderful people, the clinical examiners were wonderful, the clinical associate was as dear a lady as there ever was. The hotel was interesting, some of the guests seriously weird (you have to wait for the narrative....), and the whole thing finished off with an earthquake! Can you believe it? I heard this sound like there must be a couple going at it in the room next door, but it was over too fast, and it turns out it was an earthquake!

More later--am brain dead. Just got a letter from the Texas BNE that my fingerprints were too smudged and I have to do them over again, so that's an extra couple of months probably before I can NCLEX. (That should be a verb: to NCLEX!)

Thank you all who watched over me from allnurses. It's incredible, and very humbling.

Congratulations!!

I knew you were going to do fine. Isn't it the best feeling in the world? All of that hard work finally paid off. The worst part of failing a PCS is the thought that you might have to keep studying the material for another 3 months before you will get a chance to test again.

Don't worry about the two month for your finger prints. I passed the CPNE two months ago and I am still waiting for ATT, and I live in New York, where the BON is right across town from Excelsior College. You spend a lot of time waiting for Excelsior.

Again, Congratulations!!! Best of Luck
