I passed the CPNE!!!!

I passed the CPNE at SRMC in Atlanta!!! Woohoo!!! A couple more general eds and I'm done!!! To all of those here who haven't done this exam yet, lemme tell you- it was more stressful than I had anticipated, but very doable. You have to study that study guide front to back, have some menmonics for the critical elements, do everything THEIR WAY, and do those grids! You cannot prepare for this too much. And you can't let the stress get to you. I am so glad it's over, but I'm really proud to have accomplished this on the first try, too.

Ladybug was one of the other passers, too! I was really glad she was there- we had a really good time in the midst of it all. Whew! I'm glad that's over with!!!

can't tell you enough how wonderful the news is, esp since I read your postings and feel that i kinda know you! I am so happy for you-and of course jealous!! Not quite there yet myself, but hopefully will be soon-like everyone else, i dread the CPNE! Heard back and forth info about SRMC, glad you liked the environ. I was thinking about Madison, even though i live in georgia...maybe i'll rethink.

again, be proud! awesome job!!:balloons: :balloons:

Missnurse- of all the CPNE sites, I've heard the most good things about SRMC and Racine. The one I've heard the worst things about is Plano. How are you coming along on your courses?

Opalm- aren't you doing your CPNE soon? If so, good luck to you! You can do it!

Happynproud- I am overjoyed!!! I am still doing the happy dance...lol. Where are you taking yours? PM me your email addy if you need some study materials.

I posted my experience at the rnstudygroup site if anybody wants the details of how it went. Beware: it's a very long post...lol.

I'm back at studying for the pathophys again. I can't wait to get that exam out of the way! But after doing the CPNE, one tends to feel that the sky is the limit...lol.

Thanks to all of you again for the congrats! It makes me feel so good to get those cyber pats on the back.

Hey, thanks so much for asking-it's wild to know there are other people out there interested in what you're doing, and cheering you along! About to take nc3, i only have the nursing exams to do-hope to kick them out asap-currently out on disability so i try to spend as much time as poss studying everyday...and as long as the kids are safe and fed, the rest of the house is up to the s.o.!

tell me what web site u posted your experience!

again congrats!

WOW! Congrats! I have been looking at this websitefor a while and have not seen anything pertaining to the CPNE! That is a true accomplishment. I too took mine in Atlanta, and it was a good experience, unlike the time before that in Dallas. (That was BAD, and not just because I didn't pass). Good luck on your RN, I have been now for 6 years. Medic,

You can take the CPNE when you're within 9 credit hrs of finishing your gen eds, and when all the NCs are done. You might be able to take it sooner than you think. Keep taking the courses if you don't get a date within 3 months of your CPNE letter- but if you only have 3 months or less to wait, concentrate on the CPNE only. The study guide is huge, and it covers a lot of material.

I'm hoping to get this last NC course done by the end of June. I was hoping for a late September or October test date. We'll see what happens. :)

Thanks, Jnette! That's good to know (about the NCLEX vs. the CPNE). I hope to be taking it at the end of June. (Better get back to studying for that pathophys. exam). I can't wait to be done with this round of school...lol.
