To add to that other message, I found out that I can't do clinicals in Louisiana as a GWU student. So my plan is to just travel to Missouri to do my clinicals. Fortunately, I have that as an option so I will still move next year as planned.

I'm moving back to Louisiana next year so I really was wanting to get into Texas Tech, but George Washington was my second choice.

I'm looking for nurse practitioner preceptors in St. Louis. I'm going through the list on the npfinder website, but I'm sure I will need more just in case. Please message me if you know anyone in the area. I'm in the MSN/FNP program through George Washington University. Thank you, Lorri

No, I was accepted into George Washington University. I wanted Texas Tech because I was planning on moving back home to Louisiana and GWU is having problems with La. State Board. I currently live in MO so it looks like I'll be here for another 2 years (until I pass boards). Did you apply to Texas Tech?

No interview, just the essay. I had to log on to the GW application site to see my acceptance letter.

Good luck NCNurse...I have 6 years experience as an LPN and 6 years experience as an RN. My GPA for my ASN was 3.5 and I'll finish my BSN in 2 weeks with a GPA of 3.9. I completed both my ASN (Excelsior) and my BSN online. I didn't do any other testing like MAT or GRE. I hope you get your acceptance letter soon....Good luck again.

Congrats on getting into USI. I would do the 4 year program if I were you and let my employer pay since you already have so much debt. I agree that it will probably go faster than you think!!

Just posting an update....found out that I was accepted into The George Washington University FNP program for fall 2011!!! Excited and kinda scared, but ready to get started!!

I applied to GWU using Nursing CAS and thought it was a waste of time to enter all of my classes along with having official transcripts sent!..Thankfully, I was able to get it all in before the due date. I actually just received my acceptance letter to GWU, so I guess it was worth it! Good luck!
