I passed the CPNE at SRMC in Atlanta!!! Woohoo!!! A couple more general eds and I'm done!!! To all of those here who haven't done this exam yet, lemme tell you- it was more stressful than I had anticipated, but very doable. You have to study that study guide front to back, have some menmonics for the critical elements, do everything THEIR WAY, and do those grids! You cannot prepare for this too much. And you can't let the stress get to you. I am so glad it's over, but I'm really proud to have accomplished this on the first try, too.
Ladybug was one of the other passers, too! I was really glad she was there- we had a really good time in the midst of it all. Whew! I'm glad that's over with!!!
Lorri- I just put 2+2 together of who you are...lol. Duh! I've been talking to you all week, and didn't realize you were also HappyNProud on here...lol.
Missnurse- if you PM me your email addy, I will send you a copy of my CPNE experience. I'd try to get into rnstudygroup again- maybe they "lost" your application? I'm sure you can get in if you try again.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!
I am SO HAPPY for you!!
(Sorry I didn't respond sooner.... I've been out of town.)
I second what Jnette said about CPNE stress vs. NCLEX stress. They're both no fun, so do this....... imagine 2 piles of poop. One pile represents CPNE. This is a big ol' steamin' pile of gorilla poop. Next to it is a small, teeny little pile of poop. This turd was made by an ant. It is actually almost cute. This pile represents NCLEX stress.
Ok? Ok.
So again, congratulations, girl!!! I am SO totally proud of you!!! :kiss
To all recent CPNE "PASSERS", WOOOO HOOOO Congrats! :balloons: To all of you future CPNE'ers, hang in there and best wishes! I am a frequent visitor to the Distance Learning discussions because I am upgrading my ASN to a BSN then MSN over the next couple of years. Man, I get so so excited reading about you guys antcipating and then passing the CPNE! I graduated in 2000, the final Regent's College class before it changed to Excelsior. When I tell you my life changed for the better, I don't just mean the financial upgrade from LPN to RN. I mean the incredible opportunities I have now! (OK, th financial upgrade does help :rotfl: .) Anyway, just think of me as your Fairy Godmother and prayer buddy in Louisiana. I enjoy learning and I get excited to be around such wonderful people just looking for the opportunity to show they can shine. Big hugs to all my fellow students and don't give up the dream.

Congradulations on passing the first time. Do you know where the best testing site is? Im studying long and hard for the cpne right now in California. What advise can you give me about workshops? How long did you study for it? I study everyday.
