I killed it today!!!!

I had to come share in my excitement because people here will understand and I only would share a super good grade with a few people in my class because of comments.

Anyway, I started off well in Fundamentals, well would get B's, we can't miss more then 2 questions out of 40 to get an A because if you miss 3 it's 92.5 and we don't round until the very end. So anyway, the first exam I got a 90% and second like an 88 I think it was and then I got 2 C's and it was my fault fully, I didn't focus like I should have on the material and really slacked off and then I kept messing up questions I shouldn't have so I was bummed and it had put my overall grade down to a 82 so I was pretty bummed. Anyway, today we had our 5th fundamentals exam and I got a 95% A I only missed 2 questions. I am so freaking happy, my overall grade is back to a B now again (I won't let it get close again) and I am on cloud nine!

Anyway I just had to come shout it out because unfortunately it's hard to be able to feel proud in class when a lot of people struggle with this class and make you feel like like crap for getting a good grade. :yeah::yeah::yeah:

As long as you wouldn't mind an A student gloating and proclaiming how well they're doing, since you're only a B student.

Just saying. :) I don't mind people discussing their grades at all, but most are pretty hypocritical when it comes to people doing better than them. Not really a nursing school problem, but a personality problem with most people in general.

Actually I don't mind. I don't mind being only a B student either. I know A's are extremely tough (which is why I was so proud of mine today) but if I tried my hardest and got B's I would still be happy with myself. I am far from a hypocrite and unlike some people I actually applaud those doing well even if they are doing better then myself. I have a very small close group of friends, when I got my C's they got better grades then I did and I was truly happy for them and told them so, I never once made them feel ashamed for doing well. When a friend of mine got 100% on his pharm exam I think I was more excited about it for him then he was.

I came here to get it out because I didn't want to make people in my class feel bad I know their are many people here that do well as well and I could share with. But it's sad when we can't enjoy and appreciate a good grade without others trying to make you feel bad about it. If you want a better grade then try harder and if you tried your hardest then be proud with what you received whether it's an A, B or C. We all have the opportunity to do well.

awesome!!! great job :)

I wouldn't worry about it, honestly. I've definitely seen what you experienced, but I just blow it off. As long as someone isn't being smug and rubbing in someone else's face, I don't see the problem with at least being excited about what you earned.

There are a lot of people in my class thrilled and excited just to get a C, they just want to pass. I respect that and am thrilled for them when they meet their goals. It seems that the same courtesy is extended when I meet my personal goals.

I definitely understand that a lot of people aren't like that though, and that's a shame. I agree that if someone didn't get the grade they wanted, they shouldn't hold it against someone who did. Misery loves company, but come on now.

Woohoo! Whatever it is you did, keep doing it! :)

Thanks everyone, :D

I bow for people who got A's on medsurge..!!!

YAY!!! Good job!!

Nice Job!

I had a bad start to the semester, failed my first two exams. So I re-examed my study habits and got my first A- today and I also did well on my last pharm exam. So, I made up the points that I lost for the first two tests and caught a few extra. I also got a 100% on my med calc test so I am feeling the same as you right now - REALLY FREAKIN AWESOME!
