Hi everyone, I'm new here. I feel so hurt for a while...and I thought I would go around searching for resources about nursing.

I just want to know if you fail a nursing school, will other school accept you or reject you based on your failure from the previous school?

I failed Acute and Chronic I and I'm about to fail family focus. I'm a male student. I'm just really hurt right now and I honestly dont know what to do. I spent my 2+ years for my prereq and now I'm about to fail out. The school where I'm from wont readmit me because I failed 2 courses. I can't think of being anything other than a nurses. Help me out please. I'm trying to grieve this all by myself. I haven't told my family or friends because I feared what will happen.

Hi,

Hang in there!

Are you in a 2,3 or 4 yr program? Are you doing poorly on the tests or do you lack self confidence? Are you truely putting the time in for the studying portions? You need a study pal and start fresh.

When I am in the hospital, I want the nurse that is the kindest and most compassionate, not necessarily the smartest on the book test. DO NOT GIVE UP. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to do what you really want to do.

If you promise not to tell, I flunked out of my first year of nursing, BSN program (also lost my academic scholarship)and took 2 more semesters of other non nursing classes. I went through nursing school, a 3 year program and had to study a bazillion hours a day.

My parents still loved me and I tried to keep positive. I sent the new school the transcripts from where I flunked out of and they still accepted me. I told them I was distracted then, but was more focused now.

That Happened 22 yrs ago. I went back to go for an RN-BSN program at 40 yrs old and am now going to grad school.

I am so sorry. I don't know what other schools will do. The best thing would be to call around and find out what their requirements are. Depending on your situation you may want to think about going to an LPN school, getting some experience and then bridging to an RN. If it's your dream, do not give it up.

Hang in there. Try talking to a faculty member in your school. See if maybe they can point you in the right direction. I would start there. ..Good Luck

are you about to fail your second course? If you havent reach out to your instructors. Meet with them and talk about your difficulties and ask for help. Asking goes a long way and lets them know you are worried about failing and need help. Reach out to class mates, we dont like our friends to fail! Im so sorry you are going through this! (hug)

I don't know about the schools where you are, but here you can go to another school if you flunk out of one.

Have you tried getting a tutor? Sometimes just learning new study habits can make all the difference. Good luck.

Thank you so much my friends. It hurts so bad...When I found out I failed Acute and Chronic, I could not do anything for a week...and I failed Family Focus as a result. I'm just so stressed in every direction. I've never made a D in my whole life, let alone an F. The test was so different from what I've taken my whole life. I'm struggline with studying.

I'm trying as much as I can to cope with this. I just want another chance at nursing school.

I'm considered a junior. It is my second semester of nursing school. I just have too much pressure right now. My parents are getting old. They were waiting for me to graduate from nursing school so they can retired. I'm the only one in collge and now...I'm flunking out of nursing school. God...I'm just a failure right now...I'm honestly trying as best as I can to cope with this.

Nursing is difficult. Hang in there if your ment to be a nurse it will happen. I like what someone said , how about LPN school, get some experience. It may help. I know in our nursing school we started with 120, graduated 60 odd. Most of them flunked after the 3rd quarter. Most of them went to other schools. One of which was my best freind. She found that she was so anxious about flunking at the first school that it held her back. When she moved back home , re organized and took a new out look she did fine at the new school. Sometimes we get so muttled up we can't see the trees for the forest. Take a deep breath, calm yourself and re think things. They may not be as bad as you think.

Thank you...For the past weeks, I felt like it was the end...I had no one to talk to or cope with. That's why I look over the internet to find resources. I struggled in nursing school because I wasn't focused, because I had pressure, and because of the problem financially with my family. I'm only 23 years old. I felt extremely alone when I found out I failed.

hello there i have a question if you don't mind! do you really love nursing? tell me more;)

Hang in there! I would go and talk to your instructors. Find out what they would suggest to improve on. Go and talk to your adviser. Most schools have an appeals process. USE IT. Everyone is pulling for you!
