I just bought the best bag for me!

Ya'll - I couldn't be more giddy right now. Schlepping all these books around campus just sucks. I had a backpack that worked for me last semester but it just isn't working for me anymore. I'm only taking 1 class over the summer (but its a 16 week micro course shoved into 6 weeks - crazy fast). Between my textbook, lab book, notebooks, safety glasses, lab coat, i-pad, phone cords, calculator, lunch ...

I went to stores looking for a good size roller-bag. I came across the right sized bag, but it didn't have wheels. So I took to amazon and I found an under seat travel bag with wheels. It is a lily bloom and initially I was hesitant about spending the $$ to buy it. I went ahead and hit that button because the clear interior pockets looked like they would be beneficial. It has pockets on the sides, a pocket in the back, multiple pockets in the front, and those pockets inside really are cool.

I am hoping it will work for nursing school as well because I am totally in love with this thing!! I can't speak for its durability since I opened the box about an hour ago... But all the parts work and it seems like a decent suitcase quality.

They do have another fabric available at other online retailers for a little cheaper - I just liked this pattern. Oh - and the fabric is made from recycled water bottles - bonus!!

I had to share just in case someone else is looking for a new bag too.

Is there a reason youre bringing your textbook to class?

Yup - sadly we reference it - a lot. He's old school and likes to point out page numbers... the power points will say (see page 199) and it may or may not be the right page number for our edition. I learned last semester that I need my book for his classes so I can be sure that I'm referencing the right pictures. I'm the only person that will flip and make sure that the images are right (of course if I'm doing it no one else has to). We actually write in our lab books and turn those pages in, so that has to go also.

My A&P 2 professor was way old school. I used to lug my book to class because she used an over head projector- I'd flip through and make a reference to the page number in my hand written notes and sometimes write in my textbook on the diagrams. It was such a pain. This wasn't that long ago- we had a smart board in our lab classroom for heavens sake!

Glad you found a bag you like. I used a rolling one at times in school. I commuted on the train and it wasn't always the easiest to store my rolling bag, so I tended to use it only when going to study sessions with tons of books.

An overhead projector?! I haven't seen one in over a decade! I liked them though. They were better for learning than PowerPoints for me.

I wish I could take a train! I'll be driving over an hour and then I'll have to walk a good piece from the parking lot to the buildings. I'm not looking forward to 1) driving that far 2) walking in the cold. I'm a sissy - 60 is cold to me. Luckily it is only colder than that a couple months of the year but its still going to be gross.
