Yay I'm glad for you also.

Are you prepared? How long did you wait for a date?

I applied March 26 and received a date on June 26. I was expecting to wait longer. I'm preparing now......

Allright! Now great motivation to memorize all those Critical elements. Use a grid, write down page numbers next to Nursing diagnosis's and related to's. Practice practice practice. Good luck

Thanks for the advice. Someone gave me a list of commonly used Nursing diagnosis but I lost it.

I applied in the beginning of May. I put myself on the cancellation list, they just called me and I test July 30th at Albany Medical center. I guess everybody was right about New York with their quick test dates.

I just started studying when I found out, if anyone has any tips on how they passed or how you are studying that would be great. I hear everybody talking about grid's?????? what are they.

:ancong!: LisaD702, how wonderful. I have no idea what a grid is either, but I passed my CPNE. You can do it. Biggest thing is don't let the stress get to you.Good Luck July 30th.:heartbeat

Someone please correct me if Im wrong a grid is like a table where you set up your mneumonics to make sure you have evertyhing covered when doing you AOC's

July 30th is right around the corner. Are you going to any workshops? You have 3 weeks left to get those mnemonics stuck in your memory.

Good Luck!!!

Bingo! :) The grid and mnemonics will save your behind if you forget something!

I am not taking any workshops, I feel pretty confident in my skills. I have been studying out of the packet they gave me and just have been going over and over all the skills. If anyone has any other suggestions I will try anything. If anyone has a sample grid I would like to take a look at it. PM me and I will send you my email address.

Thanks:lol2:

Check out the EPN CPNE journals. They will give you an Idea of what you are in for. The last section of the CPNE guide will give you score cards the CE's use during your PCS make sure you know all the Critical Elements and are able to perform and document them with patient response. There are sample grids people have posted on the EPN. You tube has a couple of examples of the wound packing lab. Good luck to you. I would highly recommend a Workshop as skill is only a small part of the CPNE. TraciGN
