I just was not anticipating this..I don't blame anyone..there are just so many things I look at and said "waht if I would have"..I feel in my heart this is for me..I'm just numb...Please help..

Please, please don't do anything impulsive.
I failed a med/surg class and had to take a year off. I went back.
A professor stated "now it's time for you to eat a piece of humble pie." Then suggested what I needed to do to gain readmission. I passed the second time.
I know this is a real big deal, and I can't minimize what has happened to you. However, this is not the first time someone failed nursing school. It won't be the last.
Talk to your counsellor and anyone who might help. Find out what it would take to be given a second chance.

Dont give up. Find out what you need to do and dive back in. Retake the classes next go round.
You made it this far. If you didn't kill the beast with the first volley, reload.

IT is bad enought to flunk but to flunk by a tenth?? OMG I feel sick for you.
Here is what I would do, contact your teacher and inquire about looking over all of your past tests---see if there is one question that may be debatable. At this point in the game there is nthing left to lose than trying to scrounge up one more point.
Our school had a policy that if we could find writen information on a question that could swing it our way and we would provide that information the teacher would/could on thier discretion give us that point.
its worht a shot---best of luck...and worse case scenerio you take the class again but this time have a heads up of what to expect.
So sorry for you. Dont kick your self too hard though lots of people have failed a class before.
Ten years from now you will barely even remember this event.

It probably wasn't the tenth of a point that did it. There were probably other factors that made them determine you aren't quite ready for nursing school.
Do you think successful people are successful the first time, every time? Success isn't that you've succeeded, it's measure by how many obstacles you overcame to get there'.
Don't beat yourself up. Take a break and try again when things have simmered down.

The same thing happened to my neice. She was having emotional issues and it was prob the best thing that happened. She re-applied and is going back to school next fall. Good Luck

They threw a few questions out at semester end at our school. It didn't matter to me, but it helped quite a few people pass.

Sweety, God has nothing to do with this.
He loves you as much as anyone else and he wants you to get your ass back in there and show 'em what you're really made of!
We all flunked something, sometime, somewhere...it's just your turn.

Same thing happened to mom in may of this year. She was weeks away from graduating, and failed my one question. She was numb, depressed, and cried for days. She prayed, we prayed, and she got back on her feet.... Now she's planning her graduation celebration in January ! Don't give up, it hurts but you must keep going. Show your kids that defeat is never an option. God will bring you through this devastating time in your life.

NEVER GIVE UP!! I am very sorry this happened but you must remain strong. People do fail- but you feel very alone when it is you. God is not punishing you. Jump back in and keep going and you will meet your goal- Don't loose site of that goal! :wink2:

Honey you are not alone. I flunked out last semester also. I was disappointed, angry, sad, was crying and just had a hard time with it. But deep down in my heart I knew I needed to step back and catch my breath, and it was unfortunate that the break came in the form of a "fail". Although I've applied to getting right back and repeat, I'm still feeling discouraged and hurt by the way I got flunked out. To me it seems like nursing schools only look at a grade, and not the holistic approach to nursing(the attitude, willingness, compassion, multiple academic attempts, reaching out for help). It's a shame that nursing education is only about the academic outcome, although I understand that that is the objective measure.
All I can say is don't give up, you rae not alone. At this point I'm asking God to help me give my strength, encouragement amd enthusiasm back, the willingness to learn and the excitement I started nursing school with.
Goodluck!
