And then my hubby gets laid off. :crying2:

We were finally getting to a place where we were catching up on the bills we accumulated over the years with me in school full time and now we will be back to struggling again. This sucks.

He got laid off basically because he was the highest paid employee of his class at his job. They could hire someone else to do his job for half the cost. Stupid economy!

I guess I will try to find a second per diem job in a few months if he can't get anything that pays as much as he was making.

So sorry you are going through this....

My thoughts are with you...hang in there. Come here for support and keep us posted. Wish I could make it better.

That sucks sideways. Hang in there.

and ... at least if it had to happen, he got laid off when you can get a job and not while you were still in school!

I know it doesnt help right now, but know that things seem to happen for a reason. Maybe he will get a better job? Worse case scenerio he will make a good meal every night AND do the laundry while your working!!!

Since it is almost November, I would change your exemptions at work to a higher number so you will get a bigger pay check each week. Between that and his un employment you all will manage, I am sure you can pick up and extra shift or two if need be..

Good luck...

I'm so sorry that happened to you! I'm sure everything will start picking up soon! Good luck and I'll be sending good thoughts your way!:heartbeat

I would 2nd the change withholding thing....Sorry to hear about your layoffs. Good luck to your hubby on finding work. Something will come up, I'm sure. Karma comes back around. Someday he will be employed...and the company who laid him off could go bankrupt...never know. Does he get any severance?

I am in LPN school full time and my husband is basically unemployed. Don't feel bad. You're not alone!

i 2nd what someone else said here... thank goodness he lost his job now and not when you were in school. that would have been the real crap on the cake!

Worse case scenerio he will make a good meal every night AND do the laundry while your working!!!

I'd have a cardiac event if I came home to a clean apartment!:D

hugs to you. i'm so sorry that this has happened but i echo the suggestions of racingmom4; namely increasing your exemptions and maybe picking up an extra shift or two. and thank god you got a job just as he was laid off---at least there is still an income coming in! i'll pray he gets something great soon! hang in there!
