I feel so stupid...

I feel so stupid right now with everyone passing the NCLEX. I am the only one in my cohort who failed. I failed at 265 questions and I know my anxiety got the best of me. It doesn't help that my sister doesn't think I am going to pass again. I did Kaplan the first time around and hated it. So I bought the ncsbn 5 week trial, it seems super boring. I feel like all the content is review and there are not many questions. I also got Uworld, which I love. The rationales are amazing and everything. My uworld average is a 68%, is that good? I guess I have virtually no confidence now and my family isn't helping. I am re-testing September 2nd! Any advice? I have to pass this time around. I can't afford to fail again financially or emotionally.

First off, cut the negative self talk. You are hardly stupid, you got through nursing school. So stop it. It does nothing but bring you down. If your family is not being helpful, tell them that. "I am having a hard time with you being negative." And I would not get into it with family members. Doesn't matter at the end of the day what your sister thinks. She has her own fish to fry. "I am hurt you feel that way about me."

Do as many of the practice tests as you can. Then correct them. Concentrate your efforts on those sections that you are having the most trouble with. Don't read into a question. Take it at face value. AND DO NOT CHANGE ANSWERS unless you truly mis-clicked. Go with your gut. Stop reading a question more than a couple of times thinking the information or answer will be different. Read it, skim it to hit the highlights, read the answers, pick and move on.

If there is a study group you can join, do it. If your college you graduated from has tutors, use them. If you are having huge issues, see if you can audit a class on your tough area.

Finally, see a counselor who specializes in anxiety....and you may find the college guidance counselor will have some thoughts about who you could go to.

Best wishes moving forward!

Keep going over your practice questions. If you are confident in one area, spend more time in the areas where you are weaker. Good luck.

First of all, design a study plan that will work for you. Practice questions are great. However, i believe that you must study the basic concepts and know then by heart. Create a study schedule and stick to it.

Then also, YOU have to believe that you will pass the next time around. Be positive, stay positive. Good luck! You can do this!

Keep strong MissMaddie, Take all that stress of your back especially with people who don't have a clue about the NCLEX. You are giving them (family and friends) too much information to use against you. TELL NO ONE WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE THE NCLEX AGAIN (it will reduce the anxiety). Keep on fighting!

You have to stop talking about your self, you need to be talking positive to your self! Also cut out the people who are talking negative to you. Do not tell them when you are retaking because that will only increase your anxiety. I am a retake i ran out of time and i am also the only one out of cohort too. Your scores are fantastic just keep practicing and cut out the negativity and look in the mirror everyday and tell yourself you are going to pass.

You know yourself more than anyone. Don't let them get into you. YOU CAN PASS THIS! This time is for you, so just keep moving on ang pray! Good luck! Do at least 75 questions in the morning and in the afternoon. You'll be my colleague by September and I can't wait :)

Im so sorry but stay strong and study and study some more. I used Kaplan Qbank 1300 questions for only $49 and it was worth every penny and more. I was doing about 150-200 questions per day for 7 days. If I keep missing the same thing then I would go online and research it or watch some YouTube video on that topic. I advertised for Kaplan so much that they owe me a check. And I do that because It is really works when you apply yourself. Anyways Good Luck, keep us posted!!!
