I took the NCLEX RN today. It cut me off at question 76. I thought I did good. But I tried the PVT....no pop up. It lets me register for the new test. Meaning I failed. Im so.....
I know exactly how you feel. I finally passed last month on my 3rd attempt and almost 3 years after graduating. Not to mention 8 months pregnant. It is possible! Just hang in there. If I can do it, anyone can! Just take a little break and get back to it. Don't waste time like I did. Wish you the best! Don't beat yourself up about it! Good Luck! :loveya:
Thank you guys! I am looking in to Hurst review and thinking about buying them to get myself on tract. But the $350 is the problem. Im on budget now.I have no idea how I failed. I did all the Qbank, trainers, and addition about 1000 questions in the review book that I have my hand on. And I got a ok score. The questions in NCLEX exam seems easy enough at the same time maybe they are not the passing questions.
@ HighlyFavor2011: Plz tell me more about this NCSBN online study.
Sent you a PM
I believe Kaplan offers a money-back guarentee if you do not pass. You can use that money to purchase the Hurst Review. What scores did you get on Q-bank? I believe you should be aiming for score no less than 65% and above 69%. I also believe Kaplan offers one-on-one tutors. My Kaplan instructor for the live-classroom option was amazing and gave me a lot of confidence.
Does any1 know any book that could strengthen my SATA skills? I dont feel confidencde with SATA at all.
Change the way you think about SATA. Think of it as multiple true/false questions. For example:
There are various theories about visible colors. Select all the colors that are considered to be in the spectrum of a rainbow.
A. red
B. pink
c. Blue
D. Indigo
E. chartreuse
F. garnet
Knowing that ROYGBIV is the mnemonic for the colors of the rainbow you might accidentally select garnet in a studied excessively for the NCLEX and now I'm really nervous frazzled state of mind. The question can be much simpler if you break it down like this. You can even use the whiteboard to make your "true/false" notes.
A. Is red in a rainbow? TRUE
B. Is pink in a rainbow? FALSE
C. Is Blue in a rainbow? TRUE
D. Is indigo in a rainbow? TRUE
E. Is chartreuse in a rainbow? FALSE
F. Is garnet in a rainbow? FALSE
So the correct answer would be A, C, D
Clear as mud? Too tired to come up with an NCLEX style question. But you can see how mnemonics can sometimes confuse the issue when you are stressed and doing what is perceived to be a "hard" question (SATA).
Good luck.

So sorry you didn't pass. Maybe your next attempt will be successful.
