I too failed with 265 questions. Don't beat yourself up. It is a very very hard test and not one I ever wanted to take again. I get to retake in september sometime. I will keep you in my thoughts. It is not the end of the world even though it feels like it is. Don't get too down on yourself, there are a lot of smart people out there that didn't pass. Just make a plan to study even better this time and remain positive. That's the best advice I can give. Keep the faith though, you got thru nursing school and you can conquer this feat as well!
i am sorry to hear you didn't pass. know that you are not alone in conquering this exam. many people do not succeed on their 1st attempt. take a break and when you do begin to prepare for the exam again, use your new saunders book to follow suzanne's plan. i wish you all the best, and remember all things are possible! also try and follow the "random facts" thread, it has so far been a super additional study source. best of luck to you!! :icon_hug:
I'm so sorry you have to go through this. The emotional journey is a long one that I wouldn't want to repeat again.
If it helps any, 3 of my MOST favorite nurses in my unit.....best teachers, patient, kind, dedicated.....failed more than 2 times.
Don't let it get you down, but make sure you step back and take care of yourself. Take a long weekend....have lunch with friends....relax.
Best of luck.
Sorry to hear that you failed. I took my test on Monday with 265 and failed too. I know how it feels. I feel like i'm in a big hole but the only thing that i can do to get myself out of it is by taking a quick break, forget about the past loss, hit the books AGAIN, and most important surround yourself with positive, supportive people. Along time ago when i was in the NYC Police Acadamy, we had to run 2 1/2 miles a day in the gym, i was not a runner at all and had a difficult time with it. It did not look good to show any weaknesses especially if you were a girl. Anyway, there was a big sign above the gym door and it said " I can't means I woun't" and it helped me to motivate myself and succed. It's been 20 years or so later and when i have a hard time with accomplishing something, i think about that sign and it keeps me motivated. I hope my little story helped. WE WILL PASS.
One fails forward toward success
Supposing you have tried and failed again and again. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down.
There is no failure except in no longer trying
Failure is an event, never a person
