Hey There, I failed the first of the final year clincal nursing placements. I feel devastated. I am so upset. I feel my confidence has gone completely. It has been ripped out of me. Any ideas how I can rebuild myself. I feel like just quitting, but realise I must be passionate about nursing, as I feel so upset and depressed. Please any suggestions and or advise would be very much welcome.

If first you don't suceed try try again! If you really want this and feel nursing is what you want to do, do whatever you have to do to achieve your dream. Good luck and best wishes for future sucess!

Ask for a conference with the instructors over our clinicals. Tell them you want constructive critism so you can correct your performance for a successful clinical in the future. I'm sure they will be open to the idea and you will gain invaluable information. Best of luck.

I AGREE!!! Get some feedback, apply it, and learn from it. I'm sorry you didn't pass.

This! I'm very sorry that you didn't pass. There's always room for improvement, and take this as a learning experience, dust yourself off, and try again! Don't let failing a class bring you down. Good luck to you. :heartbeat

Keep your head up. Keep trying. In the end, it will all be worth it. Once you achieve your dream, you'll realize you learned more from failing this one class.
