Alot of people say saunders I used both hated saunders it was a requirement for my nursing program but I took the hurst Class and Loved it, it breaks down everything and but makes it all connect where as a nurse you look at the full picture and it gets you in that mind frame Best Wishes on Nclex though!

For me Saunders is Good!

I'm currently using Saunders. The book is good, but I feel that the practice questions are wayyy too easy. I just feel that the practice questions rarely require critical thinking and are basic regurgitation of facts. Also, even when I'm not very familiar with a subject the question is concerning, I feel that the answer choices make the right answer too obvious because all of the others just sound bad. Does anyone who has used Saunders and taken the NCLEX have any input? And if they are poor reflection of the types of questions we will be asked, what book would you suggest for practice questions?

i justtook the nclex... first i think hurst is a waste of money . 2nd i used saunders questions an ur right they were kind of really easy. but i used the saunders practice questions and alternate format . i also used exam cram. i think that book real;ly helps u overal.but if u want to take a review class, google READY TO PASS. they are wonderful with there content review. gud luck :)

I took mine yesterday and I used only Saunders. I reviewed the book briefly but did the practice questions on the cd everyday. I think the NCLEX was formatted like their questions just more difficult. I also had a lot of sata. I came home and got the good pop up so hopefully it's true! Good luck!

I have only used Saunders but I love it! I have both the 4th and 5th editions.

Sorry for late reply..(This is in regards to Helene fuld, I can't PM:(...May I ask who do u have? Also, You can't read everything. follow your syllabus. You should be doing prep u, which will help u at the end of that quarter. I focused on Some Patho but read on the s/s and interventions. As for care plans I got a care plan book and just site it. Those care plan books are very help. When u doing the assessment page don't forget to put in cranial nerves b/c u will be asked to revise it. All in all I studied at least 4 hours in the day and gathered info for care plans then did them on weekends. It's overwhelming b/c u just starting and it's anxiety but after 1st exam you'll know what the professor focus on. Good Luck
