I WAS JUST PONDERING OVER THE FACT OF TAKING THE HURST REVIEW WHETHER ONLINE OR LIVE...I HAVE BEEN OUT OF SCHOOL FOR OVER A YEAR NOW, SO MAYBE THE LIVE LECTURE IS GOOD FOR ME...I DON'T KNOW...IM CONFUSED...:crying2:

They have an online course and a live course. Thankfully they're coming to my city and I'm starting the review course tomorrow. It is Tues-Fri from 8-4. I'll let you all know how it goes! I'm graduating in May and I'm hoping I can take it again around that time or June so I can take the NCLEX in June-July.

OH to be done with school and to have my license!! :nurse:

Also, you can take the course as many times as you want within 2 years. What convinced me to take it was listening to their Sample Lecture on their website. They explained things I already understood in the sample, but in SUCH an easy way I couldn't believe it! It made me wish all our teachers could be this way too!

Hi Ksoares,:p

The online review you have unlimited use for 3 months or if you choose live. They explain things in such a way that it makes total sense. This was the key to my success! Make sure you give yourself time to study then take the NCLEX. HURST has a 98% pass rate and Marlene makes studying FUN! Good Luck!

My 2cents as an NCLEX reveiwer myself:

If you struggled throughout the nursing program, barely made it, have a language barrier...etc...then I would advise taking a review course. But like what many of the previous posts mentioned..if you are confident that you know the material...performed well as a nursing student...then you can definitely save your $$$. However, if you are unsuccessful the first time...then I definitely would advise an nclex review course.

I recently attended the live hurst review. I found the information very informative...the core content was the main focus in which was explained in an easier way to understand...i really enjoyed how the instructor used humor throughout the lectures to sort of ease the tension of taking the nclex...i loved it!!:D

remember the nclex is not like the real world...

I was happy with the hurst review when I got it . I did find the material helpful but I did not pass the test. If a person can not study alone and need to hear the material. The hurst review is a great source to study from. I have problems with taking tests so I need to figure out what I am lacking with these questions. I can verbally respond to a person with the right idea when they ask me a questions, but I am lost when it comes to reading the questions and what I am looking for to answer the questions. I may invest in the National Board of Nursing review program in order to see the questions.

I am wondering if anyone has used Pepid's app and if it helped?
