Hurst and then Kaplan

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello friends,

I have a quetion or advise to ask,

I failed my NCLEX on the first try and now are getting back in track of studying on weak areas and what not.

I noticed that i needed some content and also strategy, so i decided to do Hurst first all lectures to refresh and then Kaplan for question strategy to prepare to retake.

Can someone tell me if they have used the same strategy and if they have, has this worked for you ?

I just reviewed the Electrolyte and Fluids and Orthopedics because i am terrible in those, and i felt like i had forgotten so much ferom school already.

Anyway, after the review i felt like i understood so much more.

Thank you

Deimys

I hope so I don't know first time were easy questions not much priority! This time more than half was priority I didn't care I didn't have much SATA I did my best on those! FunkyRN2b

Only one more night!! We can't wait to hear that you officially passed tomorrow:-) sending positive vibes your way!!

Sent from my smartphone using allnurses

carrotcake I failed guys not sure how why.. but just bought the quick results! I thought I was doing really good by getting lots of priority!!! Thinking to do NCBSN I will wait for CPR to see what was my lack knowledge.. I will do it either now or later I will be an RN!!

Wow this is so hard to believe :(... I really don't understand why... I am starting to think this computer test is like playing roulette. I think you may be feeling hopeless but this test will not defeat you, you will be a registered nurse no matter how many tests it will take! Don't give up this test doesn't determine how much or how little you know, chucks! this test didn't ask me if I knew how to put an IV or how to comfort someone who is dying (you see this test is so random), I am sure you are and will be a great nurse:yes:!

carrotcake Thanks, I am thinking to relax this week then get back to studying! I may listen to HURST videos I can purchase them for 50$ for a month.. then do 5 weeks ncbsn and I may do caring 4 you tutoring with that lady Annabelle if you remember for priority because I guess I was getting a lot of them.. I will not wait too long to take it since info are still fresh probably 6-8 weeks. I feel bad for my family and bf I disappointed them..

So sorry hmahdoui, Keep the faith...you WILL beat this beast! DON'T give up...not for a second. You have a lot of people routing for you. Take a breather and come back out fighting.

kpereira Thank you, I will never give up for something I always wanted to be! I am just a bit lost what to do .. I am happy to share everything in this group and you guys keep supporting me!!

No :-( so sorry to hear this.

Noo this can't be true!! That's crazy. Please don't give up, just keep swimming. We got this

hmahdoui, Doing the videos from Hurstreview is a great idea!!!!! That was the one thing that helped me the most out of all the things I did and I don't regret the 300dls I spent on that revew, it helped me to critically think and understand things that I didn't clearly learn in school , best of luck making a good schedule and figuring out what materials you will be using!!!!
