They are bad news, they cut staff barrer than it is, they close hospitals, they make a ton of money for themselve and make recomendatins that don't work, your hospital is paying them millions of dollars to tell tehm what they already know. BAD BAD People that Hunter group.

This is interesting; I've never heard of this. In Nazi Germany, they had this group called the "Enzats Groupen" Anyone can correct me with my spelling. I never understood what "Enzats Groupen" really meant until I repeated this expression to a German exchange student. She said enzats means "forward". So the enzats means advanced. This story of hunters reminds me of the forward group that must have closed my unit, but now it's open half the week. I have not had work for two days straight. They call me and say don't come in and there is no where to float. I have to spend next paycheck on the rent. Homeless city here I come :-(

They are a consultant group, and hospitals pay them unbelievable and obscene amounts of $$$ to come in and basically put your entire hospital in the crapper. See the other threads!

There was an article about them in Revolution magazine about two years ago. They come in & truly swing the ax!!!!! At the hospital where I used to work, they actually said ICU patients should never need 1:1 nursing care. They said if the nurses are that lazy, get rid of them. We flipped. Try taking care of ECMO patient (ARDS, adult, trauma) on a gazillion drips and CVVHD with another patient!! Are they nuts? Then they charge the hospital literally millions of dollars for these words of wisdom!! Unbelievable.:angryfire

Appropriate that their name is Hunter. We are the hunted. We had "re-engineering" in 95. It should be subtitled hoe to screw your employees and make it look like their co-workers did it. And how to put more profits in your pockets by canning needed staff. I will never understand the thought processes of suits! I just don't understand how they can justify spending anywhere from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars on these consultants who ALWAYS leave places worse off then before they came in. Can't wait till one of 'em keels over and has to be 1:3 in a very busy ICU. They will be the last seen and forget about answering a call bell in a timely manner.

If I recall correctly, the HUNTER GROUP was the shadowy figure behind the Mt Sinai debacle.... These people are ruthless and leave dead bodies (literally) in their wake.
