Figured I would start this thread so we can get some discussions going. I'm starting the Humber Second Entry program this September (2015). Pretty excited, also a bit worried about this 74% cut-off.
Who else is going to join me in the craziness of this program??
I haven't either. I was worried for a bit, I called the registrars office and said that was normal. I got accepted last year and received an info package. I just got an email to pay my deposit so I'm going to assume that I actually did get accepted, haha.
I hope so too! Just rented a place there.
Hey, has anyone received an information package? All I have received is what classes I need to take for the fall semester. Also does anyone know if we can sign up for classes yet? Only have to take 2 classes, and trying to figure out work schedule for September.
You won't be signing up for the prep classes, the school signs you up for them automatically. Unfortunately, last year we didn't get our schedule until about a week or two before the semester actually started.
And also I'm pretty sure that if you have to take 3 or more prep classes you have to pay the full tuition (because you're a full time student). If you are only taking 1 or 2 you will be part time and will pay less.

So the website says there are 5 semesters + one intersession. I'm assuming the six terms that you've listed here encompass all that. I'm looking at tuition and costs and it says $7,144.26 for two semesters, so that's 3 x $7,144.26??
You need a 60% in every nursing class. The prep courses are not difficult at all, there were only a few people who didn't achieve the 74%. Definitely easier than the actual nursing classes so far.
Hey! in regards to the prep course I know that we also have to take introductory stats…for someone who is extremely weak in math and did very poorly in university math is it easy to attain 74% in this course, and how are you tested for it any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Hey 2015hope, same here, if you find out the answer as to when the schedule will be up, can you please let me know? I have to take only two classes Microbiology and Pathophysiology this September. Which ones do you have to take?

Anyone planning on playing sports at Humber? I'm hoping for some solid Intramural Hockey (aka. beer league!)
