Hrsa 08-09 Nursing Scholarship

What about 2 year program vs. 4 year program. I'm going for associates. What is everybody else and do you know if they have a preference?

I don't think they have any preference with an associate or b.s. I am in an associate program, and I will be starting my nursing classes next month. The scholarship would really help me out, because my school tuition is so high. The waiting list for ADN here in Los Angeles is really long, and I think it's about 2 years, so I just went ahead and applied to a private school.

I'm in Georgia and they don't do waiting lists. You get in by your GPA or not at all! Yeah a private school must be really expensive! I hope you get the HRSA. I hope I get it too. My husband recently became incarcerated and if I don't get this scholarship I can't pay for daycare and I can't go. I will hate having to give up my spot.

Hello Everyone! Has anyone who's status displayed:

"ONLINE APPLICATION STATUS

NOTICE: Failure to submit the application AND the supplemental documentation will result in a denial of your application. All supplemental documents must be postmarked by June 06, 2008 ."

noticed any change in there application status? I called HRSA today and they were no help. The representative just simply told me that awardees would receive notification between July and September and those who were not accepted would receive notification in October. Any input anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. This whole process is stressful and confusing. :confused:

Well I check my status over the weekend and it said the app packet was complete, now it says that message about the deadline. I figure it this way, I know they received my packet with my forms and application completed so everything is good!! We just need to wait to here from HRSA with our acceptance letters Yayyyy!!!!

I called them today, and the representative said that they were just updating everyone's status, and it basically says the same thing for everyone. She checked the date when they received my supplemental documents, for me to fell better, and she told me they have received it on May 15. I guess there's nothing to worry about it.We'll just wait..wait..wait.. :nuke::nuke:

my status says "Under review " i just checked. Is this a good sign, or I wonder if everybody gets reviewed? Im gonna check old threads on this topic and see what they had to say and maybe Ill call HRSA, too.
