I got the email about the in-state out-of-state tuition and the web link asking to upload my program information. I thought these were good signs but I have no letter yet.... Patiently waiting... (yeah right!)

I am so grateful right now. I got the email. God has blessed me and my family with this great opportunity. If you didn't get the emaill or letter keep praying to the Most High God Jesus Christ. It can happen!

Nothing here for me. Bummer.

I just called and gave them my name. I'm not on the list. I cannot freaking believe it. I was so hoping and hoping and hoping. I can't believe it. She said it's final for sure my name is not on the list. I just KNEW I would get it. Unfreaking believable.

Here's my info if it helps anyone.

Associate Program, Georgia, EFC 0.

Congratulations to those who get/got it.

I guess this is better than waiting in vain.

I'm going to bed.

What number did you call to find that info out?

It is a NO for me. Total Bummer.

I have been following this thread for quite some time and I wanted to chime in a bit. I think one of the main reasons that it has taken so long for them to process applications is the sheer volume (thousands) of paperwork that has to be sorted through (probably mostly by hand). So it is no suprise it has taken months for them to figure it out (and it is a government beauracracy!). I called HRSA today after reading the recent posts of some who have received emails today. The man on the line said that emails were NOT a guarantee of receiving a scholarship and the only way to know for sure is if you receive something by MAIL ONLY. Though it stands to reason the people who got emails probably got awards obviously. But after hearing what I was told there is still hope for others, just watch your mailbox. After all there will be a couple hundred awards so who knows? The man also said they were still mailing out letters through the end of the month so there is still time to wait for it. This all makes sense, if you have dealt with the government before then you know how slowly large parts of it can work sometimes but it will get done. So just cross your fingers and hope! Concentrate on class for the moment and the day your letter comes it will be a nice suprise! :smokin: PS- It is not suprising that I got a different story than someone else who called- big government for you! But the man was telling the truth about the letters im sure

The e-mails would be a guarantee that you are receiving the scholarship, they are notification of selection, which would be followed by an official letter.

There is no guarantee that everyone who got an award will get an e-mail. However everyone who gets a scholarship will get a letter in the mail. So the final factor to whether or not you got selected would be a letter in the mail.

Lets not send another paniced horde to the phone.

I wasn't panicked. I just made a two minute phone call to find out my status. The woman didn't have a problem with my phone call.

I just wanted to add that the area where you put contact information is still able to have data entered into it for me, I was under the impression once they are done with awards you will not be able to change that

wow ok so now there are emails....ugh...

I dont think that they should tell ppl on the phone, because not only does it flood the phone lines but what if someone is driving and they find out they got it or they dont. Not to mention draining all a persons hope. Because TECHNICALLY that person could still have a chance if someone declines. And at least if they get there letter in October they can say,"Well that's final."

I have been checking my email religously...i feel a little discouraged because nothing is in there, but there is still tomorrow and i dont want to give up hope. GRRRRRRREAT now im gonna stalk the mailman and check my email evey second!:typing Well, maybe if I go to bed now tomorrow will come faster so I can start my cycle over again!! Congrats to the ppl that already got it.
