I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Hello all! I’m a nurse corps finalist at least so far (fingers crossed). I got my finalist email on the 30th, sent my w2 and enrollment paperwork on August 1st, and got my credit check today from credco! I’m so hopeful and excited for potentially getting the scholarship. I’m AGAC-NP and starting my program in 2 weeks.

How did you complete your W4?
Hello!
I received my finalist email yesterday, turned in the W-4 and other documents yesterday as well and got a credit check today from Credco.
I am an ELMSN-FNP student, beyond the pre-licensure part of our program. EFC $94, GPA 3.5 and this summer was the beginning of the FNP portion of our program. Best of luck to everyone!

NP! Mine showed up on Experian I believe. From the home page, go to credit, and then click “what changed”.
It seems like everyone who has received finalist emails are BSNs and above, I'm sure ADNs aren't a priority. I start my ADN program this fall, I applied for the scholarship with a 3.82 GPA, EFC: 0, but I don't think I have as much experience working with underserved communities as the finalists. I have lived in underserved communities my whole life, and I have volunteered a decent amount but nothing extraordinary. I'm mentally prepared to take these student loans to the chin lol but it would be nice to get a scholarship. I think they might wait until the end to give some scholarships to ADNs. Congratulations to the finalists, and good luck to everyone in their programs.
