I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I just received an email stating that I am a finalist. I am very weary about the contract and would prefer the NHSC scholarship instead. Does anyone know when those offers will be sent. I only have until 8/10 to accept. I really need this scholarship but the contract and commitment worry me. Thoughts anyone?

Does the NHSC not have the work commitment?

I’m waiting and I have my fingers and toes crossed as well.

Hmm I really think you should go for it. It's not easy to be a finalist. I'm still waiting and If I get one, I'm jumping on it. But then again you have your reasons. One of my classmate has been on it since last year and seems very content with it.

I thought the emails that went out today are for NHSC.
