I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
So I'm in a bit of trouble here potentially. My program starts with a 2 credit summer course which puts me at part time, and the remainder of the program is full time. So for my summer enrollment verification form, my school official selected "part time" and "full time" and made a note of the circumstances. For any finalists out there, do you think that this is okay that my summer semester is part time and the rest is full time? Or do you think that this will for whatever reason be seen as a negative for my application? I called the HRSA hotline and they weren't very helpful ?
Prenursing23456 I have the exact same situation. I started last January for Spring semester, took a class this summer, and will be full time in the fall. I honestly don't see a problem and think its nice I was able to prove that I was part time this summer :).
Congrats to everyone who got an email so far and sending out good vibes for those still waiting! It was a lot of work for to apply, now I'm so glad I did! Got a finalist email and am waiting now with my fingers crossed!

That’s a great question! How are selecting finalist without knowing if people have defaulted federal loans?? If someone does have a defaulted loan, do they retract the offer??
