HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

Published

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

I'm hoping for it as well! I'm hoping they are awarding more since they extended the deadline.

Yea I was thinking they needed more people to apply but I was ready for that early deadline LOL

Hello fellow students! This is my second year applying - but now I'm an applicant for both this scholarship as well as the National Health Service Corps for advanced degrees. I just graduated from Rutgers' ABSN and I'm accepted to Georgetown's dual WHNP and CNM program. My GPA in nursing school was very good, but what I've learned from having applied before is that financial need, proof of volunteering experience, and not only the willingness, but the desire to work in low-income/high needs areas have much more to do with this award than things like GPA and letters of recommendation. I have a good friend who started to apply to the scholarship, but her goals were not to work in shortage areas. She realized this, as I think some people do as well even after receiving the award. I want to work with the tribal nations whether I get this or not, but I am praying for the support through the next 27 months - it would be amazing. I wish us all clarity and the support we need to reach all our goals!

Does anyone have information on how many men apply for and receive the scholarship?

I have a question to those who received the scholarship last year... In the paperwork it says it is prioritized to those with an EFC of 6,345 or below.  Did anyone get accepted that had an EFC Of above that? Thanks in advance!

yall, I'm so nervous I really am praying for this

hello everyone I am following this posy for the 2021-2022 applicants. I am currently a LPN and in school for my BSN at Austin Peay State Uni. It's a 5 semester program I have 4 more semesters to go. I am paying for school out of pocket this scholarship would be a major blessing.

Were you awarded the scholarship last year?

no - as far as I understand you don't need to reapply if you get the scholarship, at least for the nursing corps one

I know its early but has anyone heard anything?
