HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

Published

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

Hey everyone

Not sure if this has already been said on this thread, but I just spoke with them on the phone today and the person I talked to told me that the countersignature still does not guarantee the award ? If there isn't enough funding, someone with a countersignature on the contract can still be dropped, come September.

I am a finalist, signed my confirmation of interest on 8/5/20, and I still have not received a countersignature. Just patiently (and anxiously) waiting!

I wish they were consistent in what they tell people. Some of us have heard the opposite. In the past I’ve read people have been dropped, but they also had issues with their applications.

Has anyone who was in the first week of finalists not gotten a counter sign? Or has anyone gotten one as of this week?? I got a finalist email on the second day and haven’t heard back, so I’m getting a little nervous.

Hey everyone! I’m a finalist as well and I haven’t had a credit check or my application has not been counter signed. I received my finalist notification on July 16th.

Has anyone on this thread applied for the NHSC scholarship and heard back?

Hello all,

I know I need to let go and let God...but I’m so anxious to hear back about the awards. After I spoke with the rep, they said that once you get a counter signature, it’s set in stone that you get the award. However, after reading a recent post from someone on this forum, it makes me nervous. Essentially, the HRSA budget is what solidified the ability of getting an award? Just want some clarification and my mind settled.

I applied for the NHSC Scholarship & haven't heard anything. Received the credit check on 8/10, but nothing more.

Do you know who HRSA talked to from your school? Did they talk to the same person that signed your enrollment verification form?

Sorry I have no idea...I’ve been waiting and waiting

I got an email from HRSA today asking for updated information. did anybody else get this email? Also it’s switched back to finalist; it was under review for awhile but now it says finalists.

I know this question wasn’t for me. But I’m attending Emory.

Was it a mistake on your end or did they just need clarification ? Just trying to see if I messed up on anything. My status still says in final review and I don't have a signature yet.
