HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

Hmmmm....that’s interesting that it went from “in final review” to “under review”. I am keeping in touch with the reps and just spoke with one this evening. She was very helpful. I asked her a status update for me. She told me to screen shot the counter signature and she will escalate higher to clarify when I would get my award letter. I haven’t called my school yet to see if they’ve been in contact with my financial aid office. Mine says “in final review” ☺️ Anyone have any more insight? I think I just need to have more patience LOL

Did anyone not receive a credit check yet? I’m checking credit karma and nothing yet. Finalist on July 21.

Is there anyone who received a credit check but nothing since? Is there any hope or is there going to be any round 2 or 3? Starting to get nervous!

Don't think like that. I am also waiting for a finalist email, but when I called they told me finalists are chosen up until September 30th. There is still time for us!

Do you know who HRSA talked to from your school? Did they talk to the same person that signed your enrollment verification form?

was also in the first round of finalist emails and havent gotten a countersignature... we would find that at the bottom of our contract right?

also, I wonder if filling out the w-4 improperly hinders our chances? I called HRSA when I noticed I filled out a section incorrectly (the bottom I put my actual employer info instead of leaving it blank) and they said it doesnt affect the decision, but now im kinda wondering if thats the case...

Hey everyone

Not sure if this has already been said on this thread, but I just spoke with them on the phone today and the person I talked to told me that the countersignature still does not guarantee the award ? If there isn't enough funding, someone with a countersignature on the contract can still be dropped, come September.

I am a finalist, signed my confirmation of interest on 8/5/20, and I still have not received a countersignature. Just patiently (and anxiously) waiting!
