HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

Does it say finalist or under final review?

My school switched to a different type of program that the scholarship doesn’t pay for, so my status went from final review back to under review. Since I’ve switched back to the ABSN program, I needed to redo the Fall verification form.

I think they needed to clarify whether I was still enrolled... It was something on my part that I had messed up. I guess I was so excited to hear back because it’s been so silent and my application had been marked “under review” for so long and then it finally switched to “under final review” I was a little happy.

Great info but I have a question regarding receiving financial aid/loans and the Nurse Corp scholarship at the same time?

If we receive a full financial aid from the school(loans/pell grant, etc.) Before HRSA kicks in and our classes are paid in full. Do we still qualify for the HRSA scholarship?

There’s a section about that in the guidance document on page 14. I know for federal loans that if you use them before you’re officially awarded, the scholarship reimburses.
