haha. I've been so busy with my summer courses to even think about it! I checked for the first time today since submitted the application and it says it's still under review.

I'm not sure I'll get it. My EFC wasn't 0, but still low. My GPA is just above 3.5... but my nursing GPA is 3.85. When my school official filled out the form, she put the cumulative GPA instead of my nursing GPA though. I have already completed an AA degree in general education, so that's where the 3.5 was from and she wouldn't separate the two GPAs. Ah well. Hopefully they can see by looking at my transcript that all my actual nursing pre-reqs have been A's.

I read in last years thread that they seemed to place more importance on charity work?

Hi everyone, I've been following this thread but thought I'd finally register and weigh in. I signed up for credit karma a couple of months ago as a way to see if my credit got checked, which may or may not be a + sign wrt this scholarship. Anyway on 6/23 there was a check on my credit from the "Department of Hea" which I'm going to assume is DHHS and is a response to my application. Now I just wait like everyone else. BTW I am married and my EFC was under the 5000 cut off for priority but not 0 so we'll see if that's a factor too.

I have creditKarma as well and haven't received any alerts, but I am thinking we should start seeing something by this week since all the past threads saw there credits pull by this time.

How did you check your credit to see? From what I see on credit karma it only shows hard credit inquiries which would mean this shouldn't show up- I thought it was a soft inquiry.

I didn't know that I thought it would show. I did see a link where it said credit inquiries I have had in the past. So it only shows soft inquiry? Hmm lol not good at all .

What I think is that hrsa pulling your credit may be a soft inquiry. Credit karma shows hard inquiries. I could be wrong though!

That sucks haha. I thought that it might show up, hopefully we hear something soon. I wonder if there was a lot of applicants this time around.

I have seen on previous threads that some people use quizzle.com. I use both (credit karma & quizzle) and have not seen a credit check on either. I am really hoping we will begin hearing something soon. On the thread for the 2013 scholarships people were posting that they heard as early as the 18th of July, though many didn't hear anything until late August (I believe this was from a technical difficulty). I do not know how this was found, but this link shows the scorecards for how they "grade" our applications, HRSA Review Information . The link on the right-hand side that says "2014 NCSP RN Scorecard" is for the undergrad applications. From all of the posts from last year, the folks that heard the earliest were all 3.8 GPA and higher with a EFC of 0. Hope this helps some.

What is hard and soft inquiries and so we know which one HRSA is?
