HRSA 2014-2015 Nurse Corps Scholarship

Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!

A hard inquiry is usually pertaining to money (credit card apps, loans, etc.), and it can affect your credit score. A soft inquiry is just for information which does not affect the score.

So, is HRSA a hard credit check or soft credit check? I'm using Experian (the free credit check) and I'm pretty sure it only gives you hard credit inquiries.

It should be a soft check. We're not seeking a line of credit or a loan. I have seen people say that it will show up as the department of health or dhhs/something or other.

My husband and I are from California/Oregon but studying in Puerto Rico.

EFC 354, GPA 4.0 for us both. Don't know anything yet though.

I have applied for funding for NP school. EFC 0 GPA 4.0. I have not heard anything yet. I am currently employed at a rural ED.

I have been trolling these forums since I decided I wanted to go to nursing school over 2 years ago so I figured I'd finally join allnurses once I applied for the scholarship. It's better to wait in suspense with others!

I applied for funding for a 12 month Accelerated BSN program. I'm in Illinois but the program is in Missouri.

I am extremely anxious. I know my GPA is low (3.29:unsure:, EFC 0), but I'm still hopeful. Good luck everyone!

Good luck to you also! Everyone has a shot! Have you checked your credit report/credit monitoring to see if they checked your credit?

@jennyinze I have Credit Karma and nothing yet. I'm going to pull my free annual credit report next week.

Also, is it just me, or are there less participants in the forum this year regarding the scholarship?

I was reading the posts from last year, and people reported being awarded the scholarship without ever seeing their credit checked.
