HRSA 2014-2015 Nurse Corps Scholarship

Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!

My problem is that I already have a previous degree. I'm going to max out my federal loans before I finish my BSN. I don't know how I'll finish, after that...

You can sign up at Creditkarma.com it is free and you don't have to enter any credit card info. Nurse corp credit check is a hard inquiry so it will show up as governemt under new inquiries.

I've been eyeing this thread since I applied. I got a credit check from the department of health on july 31st but haven't gotten an email and my application still says under review. It is driving me a bit crazy but at least I have that credit check keeping my hopes going :)

Has anyone actually gotten the scholarship yet? Mine has said "in final review" for a couple weeks now so I'm getting really anxious!!

same here. I am impatiently waiting for them to send out last confirmation for this scholarship. been under final review since august 6.

Hello Jazmine I .... I am also fr PA and have heard nothing except "Under Review" for almost 90 days now! I even called and they told me to b patient that it could be Sept

blah blahblah!I am actually packed and leaving for college in the morning! I applied on time..May 21st, had great letters, EFC+0 and GPA of 4.0.......so bummed out! So NO this PA girl has gotten nothing and its Aug 21, 2014....AAAHHH no hopes left for me! But good luck to u....maybe you will get it!

Hello everyone! I didn't think to look on allnurses until today to find a thread about NurseCorps. Glad I did, as it's always better to have company when you're going crazy waiting for something! Lol. I am in an Accelerated BSN (started in May- it's been a crazy summer!) program. No emails (yet??) and my status is under review. I DID check my credit report (thanks for the credit karma tip- it's awesome!) and my credit was pulled July 31st. So, from what I can gather, I still have a chance?? I'm in western NY.

So no one has gotten the final email to be a participant? Looking back at previous years threads it seems the participant email doesnt come until September, so dont worry!

good luck to you too steph!!! I hope we hear about it at some point. I was able to get enough money to start my program but if i don't find out soon, ill have to drop out which I really hope I don't have to do.

I'm still patiently (or not so patiently!) waiting to hear the final news as well. I've been 'In Final Review' since August 11. Wishing you all the best of luck! This scholarship would be such a game changer!

It's super sad...I still have not gotten any emails, my status still says "Under Review", my credit was pulled on July 30th.....I called today n they told me that if we don't hear from them by Aug 31st, it means we were not selected...we would get emails by the end of September confirming we weren't selected...I have no choice but to drop out of my Fall semester...I cannot afford to pay for tuition...I have only 2 semesters to finish by BSN but funds r not available..this is my 2nd Bachelors degree, and my federal loans are exhausted....Good luck to everyone....it's been real
