Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!
Dear you are not alone in that situation. I'm going for an ABSN so have maxed out my federal loans. My school gave me some scholarship but I'm still not enough to cover everything... So without this scholarship I will be kind of screwed and will probably need to defer my admission... So I have my fingers are crossed for all of us because I know how bad we need this!!!
hello everyone!! Has anybody heard from PA yet? I know the second wave has recently started so im hoping my name is in there but I was wondering if anybody knew of someone in PA receiving a congrats email. Im so worried and really need this or I have to drop out of the program so prayers are extremely appreciated.
Thanks

Can you post the thread you are referring to? I hate to be a party pooper but I found a thread from allnurses about the 2013 scholarships and by page 45/mid September there were still people who did not know, and the one's who had posted about receiving notification all had received it in early Aug. Here is the post https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/2013-2014-hrsa-799749-page45.html
That's the thread I was referring to, but they also started hearing on July 18th as opposed to this year's first winners not hearing until (I believe?) August 1st, so I think things have just shifted a couple of weeks this year. We also had a later application deadline. I'm hoping that means we have a little longer to hear, but if not, I guess we'll have to make do. Fingers crossed for everyone still under review.
I'm in ur exact shoes. My scholarship will only cover this semester after that I have to pay out of pocket. I'm glad im at a community college which means my tuition will not be much compared to a university. There is always away especially for us who has work so hard to get to where we r at now.

I also received the email on Monday (August 11th) giving me until 8/15 to submit my final documents. I submitted everything today, signed a contract for review, and my application status says "Final Review" on it now. It says there is no guarantee that I will be awarded since the contract still has to be approved and signed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
I have my fingers crossed for myself and for everyone else out there who is hoping to get this scholarship! I've never been so anxious for summer to end so we all know for sure.

Hi everyone,
I don't think I've ever been this anxious in my life! I received the max scholarship from my school and while I'm trying to be excited about that, it's still leaves me a couple thousand short each term (3 terms) with no living expenses for the next year...and that's counting max federal loans. I have no support from family. Though I have a great credit score, my history is short so getting approved for a private loan isn't happening without a cosigner thus far and a cosigner isn't an option. So at this point it's really getting this scholarship or trying to find a job. If I defer admission while looking for other sources of funding I forfeit my scholarship.
Its it's all just driving me crazy. I'm really trying to believe the "que sera sera" mantra but my anxiety is getting the worst of me. Any stress relieving suggestions?
