Published

Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!

Mine said the same thing. Last year, student started to receive email by early july

Where do you see the status?

Nevermind.. Found it! Mine says under review as well.

im wondering... if your EFC is above 0, how likely is it that we will be approved for the scholarship?

Noticed that from the thread last year a lot of people that were accepted for the HRSA scholarship had efc of o and high GPA

Yes I am currently playing the waiting game as well. I had a 3.75 GPA. EFC of 0. Years of both domestic and international volunteer work (some health related, some not). I am really hoping I can get this for my MSN program! Blessings and peace to all you who are also waiting on the miracle that this scholarship would be!

I meant to also say that my status also says "under review"

Oooh I missed this thread. I had started one awhile ago and didn't get any replies - so I'm happy to see this one.

First time applying for the HRSA - I'm going to be a sophomore this fall, I finished my first year of pre-rews (well, working on two over the summer now), and start the nursing classes in August. Not sure of GPA because I have my cumulative GPA from when I got my first two-year degree, and my nursing GPA from just this program. Since it's all at the same school - it may be cumulative, and in that case it's 3.5 But higher in all my sciences/nursing. I think my EFC is like 1000? also, I heard that they are less likely to accept students just starting the program because it means three years of payouts for them. So juniors and seniors are more likely to get it.

I thought most didn't receive resonses until August, and some in September?

Not sure if they have a different start day every year but last year most student that were approved started to receive the notification email by early july

Heard something similar....Good luck

Good luck everyone! My still says under review. Picked up a second job just incase to come with extra funds for classes in the fall.
