Yes we could make 10s of dollars! I'm tossing around this years ideas for writing. I would love to read anything you put out. I want to try to time some new content with the influx of new folks for the year.

I would love to hear from folks who have successfully used unlicensed assistive personnel in a med administration or other clinical role.

Also a managers view on what is considered a good camp nurse candidate.

I took over as supervising nurse of a health center in Maine, I'm currently hiring for a full time nurse. I'll be hiring for an additional 3 nurses over summer (for a total of 4 besides myself), but don't have my summer job posting up yet. It's never too late to start looking, but there are camps out there that post a little later. :)

big al - feel free to reach out to me with specific questions. I work year round at a foundation that has a semester school, boys camp, wilderness trips, and has shorter encampments/trips for school groups in the spring and fall. I am a supervising nurse and use unlicensed assistants for med administration all the time. There is no way I could be there all the time for every program. Historically I've had a second RN year round and I hire additional nurses over summer, but still use unlicensed personnel for wilderness trips, overnights on our campsites away from the center of campus, and off campus day trips.

What's the website? ACA?

Specializes in as above.

what do you think?

I know of an opening for camp nurse June through August. Anyone interested?

Specializes in hospice.

I was just on Indeed yesterday helping my daughter look for summer jobs, and I saw postings for camp nurses. So the ads are out.

Do anyone know camps with openings, up North that pay for travel and at least $650 per week since I have no camper to bring? I only want 2-3 weeks for my assignment. If you do message me with details, thanks. (I have been an RN for 29 years, 10 as a school nurse and my first camp job in Michigan last summer for 3 weeks.) Last summer was great but I am looking for a non-Jewish camp this time around. I am available from June 10-August 6. Also it was only 2 nurses and we worked 24/7 with few breaks.
